Today's episode , I enjoyed predominantly as Chandni's song of Love. Chandni's love to this day was never an infatuation. It was a sweet consolation, nurtured by a long perpetual waiting for her childhood companion Dev. It was a devout and hopeful search for Dev. Now that she finds him.. She finds her love embodied in the disgruntled figure of Advay Singh Raizada! Married to her as part of his revenge syndrome.. Her husband Advay rejects her, yet deep inside her Dev loves her too. But love is love..a blessed emotion, that reinforces Chandni's to fight against all odds for her Dev! Chandni's trial and tribulations are unchanged . In fact her love is being tested! She now battles her own husband Advay ,for the release of her beloved Dev ,the man she loved and will love till eternity. Will Dev hear her callings of past love? Will Advay see the earnestness of this girl's love? and allow Dev to realize himself? Meanwhile Chandni will continue to sing her ditties of love.. Some sad, some brief consolations of love, some hopeful, some tearful... But all stubborn and resilient for if Dev ever loved her..then he will surely swap Advay into being Dev.. The man Chandni yearns for!
Heightened security for the bride to be event. Looks like Advay/Dev is in for another betrayal by a loved one! His very own Leela Maasi who colludes with well meaning outsiders. The tragedy lies with Advay he trusts the wrong people. Its not his fault, no one expects their beloved family member to back stab them! Security is double checked by Advay.. a dubious character is frisked by Advay , but not enough for him to conclude that the man is hired by Sasha to harm Chandni. Chandni is jealous quite rightly too,when she sees her husband being swarmed by two giddy butterflies, Svetlana and Sasha ! but Chandni knows how to console her jealous heart..it's Advay in the main who is party to the introductory cheap flirty bits.. her Dev in fact shows great discipline on warding off Svetlana's cheap passes.
Chandni cannot be called a weakling. She retaliates to all cheap advances made towards Advay . she is no pathetic wall flower, no cheap hussies can make public property of her husband. The tragedy is she can see that Advay is all out to marry this Sasha, but Chandni's brief for herself is, go get them with whatever it takes! For her Dev! not for Advay! She had caught sight of the amorous manner Advay checked her out when she arrives at the party.. it was Dev looking at her with tender approval.. so for Dev! she breaks into song and dance .. a wife sings for her husband! appeases him before all! that, she's possessed with heavy madness for him! from morning till nigh she is totally besotted by him! her rhythmic bold movements take Advay by surprise! but she can see Dev's eyes silently smile at her spunk and zest! As expected Chandni's solo dance number is barged into by two unwelcome dancers Sasha and Svetlana.. who threaten to gate crash Chandni's marriage! also her life! the dance floor becomes the stage ,for a set up act! Chandni's cadence will lead her where she wants! And fools like Svetlana and Sasha they will end up winning! Suddenly lights out! a sign from Svetlana to the attacker.. a letter opener type cum hair grip from Svetlana hair!
A scream! Papa Jimmy! Sasha gets the knife instead of Chandni? Is this a target mistake or a set up for Chandni? Knowing the anti Chandni gang it is a scene to frame Chandni! Advay gets hold of the attacker, forces him to name and tell the person who told him to attack Sasha! Sasha is so desperate to possess Advay that she will go to any lenghts! The attacker points to Chandni! Advay roughs him up and states, you lie! Chandni can never such a thing! All of anti Chandni gang. Maasi tops the list, moans, shocks! and terribly disappointed! before the attacker spills the beans! Jimmy throws him a kitchen knife and the guy grabs it ,threatens Advay and absconds! The plot thickens to stretch the story for another week! Looks like the anti Chandni crew will linger on till the end..
Chandni gets blamed for trying to kill Sasha! Plus Advay too diffuses her sense of well being by telling her straight, nothing has changed between us, I defended you so I could get to the bottom of whose actually attacking Sasha! and he leaves .. but Chandni smiles.. as her heart whispers to her.. you may not admit this Advay.. but you couldn't stop my Dev from speaking up for me.. yes what bliss.. my Dev stills holds trust in my goodness. Carried on by this consolation , she shares with her bank of support Nani.. her heart prompts her to do one more action, an attempt to reach out to Dev, as time is slips away , she cannot delay..she must act and expose Sasha..
Chandni's love song... a closure to what they had? or a revival of what they still can share?
Advay sits alone in his room, plagued with her thoughts. how he stood up for her? it felt right, chandu wouldn't hurt a fly.. besides.. whatever.. his train of thoughts are disturbed by the tinkling of anklets.. he gets up, stands in his doorway.. there , bathed in the silvery light of the moon , stands her silhouette. Her feet move to dance, forcing her anklets to stir his sleeping soul.. she sings, come my beloved!! watch me dance with joy..my spirit flies ,my heart beats , ooh, my beloved.. Chandni swirls her arms and spins around , giddy with ecstasy.. his feet walk towards her, as she spins and ends up against his chest.. he looks down at her.. she seems , joyous.. he wants to know why the song and dance? she looks into his eyes and replies, she is celebrating happiness ! what happiness? With concealed sadness, she feebly smiles, the joy of you getting married. She moves around him and their backs touch so both cannot see the existing cinders of love sill alight in them . He can sense her sadness , but she assures him, Dev.. love is all about losing one self , in another's love.. not gaining.. its about being happy for the happiness of the one you love.. she asks him.. if he is happy for his forthcoming marriage? then she will celebrate with him.. for him! Chandni hold him, and dances with the man she loves..happy for his joy, his decision.. she wants time to stop..as she wants to worship Dev like she would do for her god.. with sincere devotion . She holds his hand and kisses the top of his hand with pure unblemished devotional love.. Advay looks down silently at her bowed head.. she begs for a promise from him.. forget our bond not ,my beloved! I shall remain beside you when you are low.. she feels his face tenderly , evoking life in her god of stone.. I shall bring sweetness in your rough times.. then in pure adoration she stands on the tips of her toes... her cheek against his cheek.. she whispers in his ear, the three words she could never say to him since they grew up.. I love you... Advay closes his eyes,, she flattens her toes.. with tears in her eyes .. they both distance themselves from each other... so this is love.. unconditional .. hamlet53 29.9.17
What a tear jerker in the end.. very moving and almost sacred scene for me. Both Barun and Shivani gave us a real treat.. I salute both the stars and bless them with every success they can get.. for now hoping for some more meaningful scenes from Chandni and Dev.. erhh I see Chandni too ends up in cold storage.. like another female lead.. won't say from which programme.. take a guess..
