Yes , Narottam took Anami by surprise, and same goes for the audience.
He was caught off guard for that one moment.
I think the reason it happened was that this is Narottam's true self, when he reacted on instincts it simply came out.
Having said that, Narottam for sure is going to use Anami for his personal motives.
Just not sure how is easy or difficult it will be for him.

But have to say that look which Narottam gave to Adhiraj was the look of the day.
I just can't help but fall for this grey character!

See, often people who have suffered as Narottam has take on the roll of protector. Watching, Adhiraj intimidate Anami

Trigged something in him to protect. it doesn't have to be that Narottam protected Amani because they are brother sister. But because he has been through it continuously.

But a strong part of me likes to believe Narottams was not protecting Anami his sister but the girl who has been kind to him.

Good analysis.I thought it was calculative on his part to protect Anami.Now as you pointed out it makes sense if he behaved helplessly.
He reminded me of Karna today bcoz he is on sudha's side but opposition is his sibling who he can't hate

I guess grey characters are most difficult to write and execute its relatively easy to write a total white or total black character because unlike white and black grey character has many layers many dimensions many shades to their personality
very difficult to understand what they will do next whether it would be in your favour or against it
Narottam is one such character and I am loving it
Kudos to writes for writing it beautifully and to the actor for performing it with utmost perfection

And it was the roar of a protector, a brother that shook and stopped Adhiraj from reaching out to Anami.

Amidst the deep dark clouds, Anami comes as a flash of lightening for Narottam who stands up for what she believes is right and we see the mighty fall. And now that Anami has the key, the motif to unravel the mysteries of the house, will we see her playing her own game and taming the untamed?

Narottam is leading the way for Anami and is out on a mission, but he has his priorities right and his head and heart in the right place. The man knows Anami is the one whose treating him like human, he wont lat any harm come her way. But what would Anami do when she learns of the real intentions of Narottam? It will be fascinating to see the changing dynamics of the duo, though I have a hunch that Anami will side with Narottam, after all he is only a forsaken boy seeking revenge for his mother.

A word of appreciation for Akash Gill, he was fabulous in the scene with Mahima and Ankit. A fine actor there.

today we got clear picture of where he stands ...his heart is with Anami , but his mom rules his mind and pride ... And sudha is evil ... i am waiting for Sudha vs Satrupa , and I am team Satrupa 😆
