So this post was normally for the Episode Discussion Thread but one of the members asked me to post it here in the main forum, I hope it's worth your time 😊

Ok I know I'm too late to post this, it's about monday's episode. I typed it yesterday but didn't finish it and I was sleepy so I didn't post it. As usual I feel people over here and in the forum in general have already discussed the majority of the points but I want to discuss a particular point which has been I guess the bone of contention here, what the majority like to call Juhi chant or Juhi jaap 😆

I'm an AvNeil shipper also, and I get the same feelings as AvNeil fans, but I try to think of the situation from a realistic point of view, whether I or anyone else would behave the same way as Neil behaves and believe me, it's just our love for AvNeil that might make us annoyed, the situation is very realistic and so are his reactions, even the ones people think are OTT, because they aren't, this is who he is as a human being, it has nothing to do with any romantic feelings for Juhi!

I felt it was an eventful episode. They tried to move the story forward and at the same time give screen space to other supporting characters. I loved Avneil scenes, they just made me admire their love for each other and admire them as individuals more!. I had no problem with Neil mentioning Juhi, I know we are all AvNeil shippers, but why did we love Neil, was it just because he loves Avni?!, of course that's not the only reason, we love him because he is a wonderful human being with principles and a good heart.

On one hand, we were shown his consciousness, sense of duty, his human side ki he wants to save Juhi and Ali and catch Raghu pandit and on the other hand there was Avni and his fear for her, so he is facing many emotions we can't have the focus only on one.

We should admire Neil, for his reactions were portrayed realistically. When they came back from the rang mahal, his reactions were spot on, he remembered Balu saying that women will come to take clay from there, and as per some tradition, the clay for the idol is taken from a house of a sex worker as it's believed that people who visit such places leave their purity outside the door when they enter there, so the soil from such places is the most pure!!! (Not my beliefs by the way, just read about it to understand that scene)

Obviously it sinked in Neil's mind that Juhi was actually in a brothel so he was shocked and sadened and to top it all the idea or the possibility of Avni being stuck there terrified and scared the hell out of him. So I don't see why people find his reaction out of place both the feelings are connected.

Had he been oblivious to Juhi's pain would people have been happy. He is a sensitive human being, and a cop who vowed to help people, how would he feel knowing a good woman he loved once has been stuck in such a place for 5 years. Weren't the 5 years of her pain enough time for him to show the urge to help her! He is being a human being for God's sake!

And I see his mentioning Juhi in more than one scene as his way to make Avni understand the seriousness of the situation, that he is not speculating or being scared out of the blue, there is a person who was close to him who faced that fate, he can't imagine not even in his worst nightmares Avni facing such a thing or being stuck in such a place. So there was his care and sadness for Juhi but there also was a stronger feeling which is his fear for Avni.

Neil : "paanch saal se Juhi uss narak mein phasi hui hai, mujhe laga ki jaise Juhi mar choki hai, aur woh bhi meri mana karne ki bawojod tum uss narak mein gayi, KYU?!!!" He then cupped her face and said "Agar tume kuch hojata toh!"

1-

And then almost cringing and shaking her (as if he wanted to convey his fear to her and make it etched in her mind )he said "tume andaza bhi hai" then he tried to make her understand further saying " ek pal kaise bhaite hai uss jaga mein"! And then his voice went a notch higher saying "kiss piche ki log ho wo, kitni khatarnak honge, wo tume andaza nahi hai Avni!!!"

2-

All that was for Avni, his fear for her, trying to make her understand that fear he feels and the seriousness of the situation and then he felt again empathetic and sad remembering the person who has been living in that hell for 5years "Bechari Juhi, it was pity and sadness "bechari Juhi waha pe phasi hui hai " and then he went back to Avni "Aur TUM"! his "Aur tum" meant isn't it enough that Juhi is stuck there you want to give me a heart attack by going there!! We know he can't imagine her especially her facing that!

So you can clearly see his pure love for Avni as well as his humdardi for Juhi and I admire him for that. Obviously his top priority apart from keeping Avni safe which can happen by just her being cooperative, is to save Juhi, Ali and the other victims and arrest Raghu Pandit.

The bottom line here is that when you have something important in hands be it work, a mission or an exam or something, you will love your loved ones equally as before but you will have other things in your head, you won't have time to show all the love, here despite everything, he said sorry about the way he grabbed her, he said it many times, he explained in a calm way that he doesn't want her to get hurt, he explained that when they first came home, he was emotional, he said he doesn't want her to be trapped in the same hell as Juhi, then in the bedroom he apologized, explained it once again that it's not safe for her to go there, and even gave her an order to not go there, he took a promise and then once again in the garden of the house when she took the audio tracker from her gang member, he said he doesn't want to lose her.

Also how many times on seeing someone else's tragedy or accident or kidnapping, you feel affected and the fear of seeing your loved ones in such a situation increases and you become kind of very affected for a period of time, very protective, I give the example of children here, so it's not even a romantic side, but the reaction is strong, out of fear you can overreact and you are more empathetic towards the person who faced that fate!

So his care was always there yaar, the mere fact that he keeps insisting shows he cares a lot, he even made many of his police officers guard the house. He doesn't need to cry all the time, I feel what he is doing is much more impactful, he is trying to reason with her and take practical measures. His emotional side part was shown mainly when they came back home from the rang mahal.

So I don't see why some people find this as Juhi chant, I see it very realistic, think of it as a human being, as a police officer, as a man on a mission, as a man who has a family member or a person they used to love stuck in such a situation, you would behave in the same way if not stronger! It's not about love here, it's a human feeling, even when he was in his honey moon, he left Avni with Rhea and Ali and she was a little ill and he went to chase Raghu Pandit, there was no Juhi back then, but other girls who are someone else's daughters, sisters...This is who Neil Khanna is!

More of his care !

3-

He was angry here when he said "Avni Kaha gayi thi?" and he grabbed her arm (I suppose his reaction's nishan is on Avni's arm hence he apologized after)

See if he showed a more violent reaction, they would have eventually called him manhandler 😆He tried to control his anger as she is his love, he cant hurt her still his grip on her arm was strong enough to leave a mark!!!

4-

He felt frustrated when she said she heard gunde's voices and went behind them, he was like "unbelievable!!", he just looked at the sky as if asking God to help him handle this wife as she will definitely give him a heart attack if she keeps putting her life in danger!

5-

He knows his wife very well, she was already trying to know what he is up to 😆 and pretending that she was casually looking there when caught!

6-

That one was cute, she is still trying and him narrowing his eyes as in telling her I got you, you can't fool me!

7-

And then ACP ordering his policer officers to keep an eye on his lady love!

A special mention to Avni Neil Khanna, she can go to any lengths for him, and he knows that, he told that to DD, I love the fact that he knows what he means to her. I admire her ressourcefulness, the unconditional support and love she shows him, she is being what a soulmate is supposed to be and he is expressing his pain, fears and all his emotions in front of her without holding back because that's what he considers her spontaneously to be, his soulmate, the woman with whom he can share anything and everything even when it's related to his ex! He trusts her, he bares his soul to her as he loves her the most and he feels she is the one who would understand him the most, she is also the one who has that ability to calm him down, to bring him out of his guilt!! So it's not his insensitivity when he talks about Juhi in front of her, it's that connection he has with Avni that make him spontaneously be himself in front of her! And that adorable lady loves him so much and feels for his pain a lot, despite her insecurity, but I hoped that connection they have has given her more insight into him with regards to her, I don't blame her for her insecurities I just hoped she would understand instinctively that what they share is something very special. Neil by the way tried to make her understand her place, actually he keeps praising her for being so wonderful to help an ex of her husband, this much special his wife is and he wants her to know, so it's not his insensitivity, seeing her so helpful and so understanding and wonderful he thought that maybe she doesn't have insecutities, still he will try to make her understand I believe in the upcoming episodes, I'm sure if he gets a small hint of her being insecure, he will try to remove that thought from her mind! But yes when he talks about Juhi instead of seeing it as his helplessness, guilt, pity and duty, she sees it as love and when he talks about how she is wonderful and special to help Juhi she takes it as him thanking her for helping his love!!!

In tuesday's episode as well he showed his care for Avni by putting her in jail, even when she said Juhi is in danger despite his shock and concern for Juhi, he didn't let his wife out as it was an extra reason for him to keep Avni safe in the lock up as he doesn't want her to take more risks! It was only when she said that Juhi was sold that he was compeltely shocked and became emotional, like everyone here I would have liked the dialogue meri dil ki dharkan thi to be edited out, the dialogue of him loving her in the past was enough but I guess that's his guilt speaking that he couldn't do anything for the woman he used to love and that used to hold a lot of importance in his life, he tried to help the girls victims to human trafficking out of humanity and goodness and as an ACP but he failed to help a person who was so close to him! I see it as his guilt and pity, that he failed in his duty and as a lover back then ! His principles of helping others, of protecting loved ones and guilt of not being able to do it for any kind of reason were speaking here. Luckily Avni was there and helped him to calm down by bringing him her support!

I don't know if I made sense or if I could explain things in a proper way, or if I could convey my thoughts properly, I mean you need to come out of just the AvNeil shipper to understand that the way he is behaving is very realistic and very admirable from a humanly point of view! You can't expect a highly sensitive kind hearted man with principles and values who is also an ACP to behave or react in a different way than he did, and showing this in front of Avni is being himself in front of his soulmate, he never means to be inconsiderate, he loves her so much to be oblivious to her feelings, if it happens then either because of him being overwhelmed by his feelings of pain and guilt or because he is not aware of her insecurity!

That line says it all about what Avni means to him :

" Juhi ko khone ke baad me Jee Saka, zindagi nayi sere se shuru kar saka, PAR TUMHE KHONE KI KHAYAL SE BHI DAR LAGTA HAI. JEE NAHI PAONGA MAIN AGAR TUMHE KUCH HOGAYA TOH!!"

8-
If you oberve his experssions while he was saying these lines in his mind, you will see his sigh and him shaking his head slightly in a no !

The sigh for his fear of losing her and the head shaking in a "no" as he really can't live without her!!

Just copying and pasting my reply to your post here :)

Naj as usual bang on post! You described Neil perfectly, had he been insensitive towards Juhi's plight it would have gone against his character completely it is only human of him to feel for everything Juhi has endured and I love that Avni is his confidante. The fact Neil turns to Avni to be his strength, to be the shoulder he cries on speaks for the bond they share together. Neil in no way means to hurt her, this is a woman he loves dearly and would never want her to feel that sense of insecurity. Neil is just being real about his emotions not only when it comes to his helplessness with Juhi's case but also for his love for Avni and the fear of losing her. I am sure Avni understands this but she has fears of her own in losing him, it was needed though to help her realize the depth of her love for him.

I am not surprised Neil knows the lengths Avni can go for him after all she did save his life. Neil knowing the importance he holds in Avni's life will go a long way if she ever tries to leave him that and her confession while intoxicated, Neil may not have understood Avni before but that has all changed now. Neil knows she values his place in her life and most importantly he knows her worth in his. The confession really be well worth the wait and after watching all the OLVs I truly believe more twists await, there may not be a sacrifice track after all but that is just my guess right now.

The new OLVs have me so excited for the upcoming twists is Neil setting a trap for GM? How will Amol be exposed? Did Juhi help Ali and Avni escape? There is so much potential here, kudos to the CVs for keeping me guessing despite all the spoiler videos released!

@Naj amazing post and I also loved that interaction when he put guards to ensure Avni does not follow him. That is my favourite scene too. I also liked the bedroom scene where Avni clearly mentions his role in her life and how he steered it. Loved Neil's reply to it as well.
CVS are brilliantly executing every plot keeping us on our edges.

@Naj Awesome Post as usual. It gives lot of pleasure to read your post, have been doing so far silently. Always wanted to tell you that your analysing give lot of insight and different perspective to a particular scene, so thanks for that.
I was among them, who is quite annoyed with Neil's Juhi chaant. I understand the predicament Neil is going through with respect to Juhi and that's the reason for him relating everything with her. Also, for Avni to be pushed of the edge with respect to her insecurities, it is necessary. But, then him bringing her name in every sentence of his is quite annoying or little over at times. We as a viewer has understood he loved & lost this lady through tragedy. We understand he is going through immense pain & guilt but why repeat the same thing again and again.

Even in real life, we wont like our spouse going on on about some ex of his/her though we know he/she has moved on in life and now he/she love us. I am not saying he is intentionally insensitive towards Avni but unintentionally he is. This is my opinion, it may change in a day or two but as of now, it looks little weird.
