Even I am not sure what "Khud se zyada" loving someone means to Neil? Maybe he thought he loved Juhi that way? You know how everyone feels about their first love? But later you realise, it was mostly infatuation. When the real deal arrives then you see the difference. There was never a chance for Neil to see beyond his feelings for Juhi coz her death made her immortal to him. Mar ke loag Saint ban jatai hai. Something like that happened here too.

I am sure Neil loved her. But that love may have been a different version to what he feels for Avni. I don't think his love for Avni has been truly tested. When it is, and when Juhi is back alive, he will be able to reconcile his real and true feelings. What he exaggerated (his feelings for Juhi), what he downplayed (his feelings for Avni).

Finally, I feel all his questions will be answered and all confusion will be resolved. For Neil and for us.
