Well maybe because i share a very strong and close bond with my father. I am a daddy's girl and apart from that i have grown up seeing him respect and love maa the same way. 31 years and he still treats her the way he did when they first met. So, yeah i wish for a man whose live won't change with time. And, who stands by me through thick and thin.

I think there may be some truth in it.. it's not just father, we subconsciously feel safe with familiarity, so our likes and dislikes could be influenced by the people we are close to - could be anyone - mother/father/brother/grandparents etc.

But life and our choices (if falling in love is ever a choice O_O ) are not so linear and clear cut or well-defined like the theories make them out to be... Our choices and the way life happens to us is influenced by many many factors, some that we can think through and some that subconsciously control us without our knowledge, and some other factors universe only knows what..

Depends on the relationship with their father.

Nope. I would prefer a husband who is compatible with me. He can have the qualities of my parents but then those qualities aren't exclusive of them, his parents might have it too.
Honestly, Someone can be a good dad and a good husband in the eyes of a daughter/son but only thw wife really knows how he is/was as a husband.
