What a lovely post. N such an interesting take on his pda... Yeaj why not... If his hate was for all to see, may be the love also is...at least for the time being whrn he cant content his own happiness at having her with him, loving her, not trying to stop himself from loving her... So may be he is jist a small kid, who is just too excited. Doesn't mean that he doesn't have his SSO giri inside him... M pretty sure, when the time comes, he is ruthless as earlier SSO, bas font be so to annika ever...

It's late but lovely as always. Yes in spite of so many posts on Shivvay's PDA, i am of different opinion. I did not find anything wrong in his behavior. I am loving this side of SSO. He is SSO whatever he does, does with full authority. When Annika came back to OM after separation, from that time only he is losing control on his emotions but his mind was stopping him. How can we forget Pari washing machine scene, he was completely lost and was doing kand with Annika's hand in presence of Rudy. After so much sufferings and pains he is a complete ishqbaaz after Pinki's exposure and he deserves this happiness. Now his heart won the battle over his mind. For me Ishqbaaz SSO is treat to watch and i am sure much more is on the way from Annika's Shivvay.

Lovely Analysis ... Yes the PDA side of shivaay has not been seen by anyone even the family so its a big surprise to one and all ... I think shivaay does it specially for the months of grief that he gave her and to show his mother specifically ...

When I see your name alongside any title I always tell myself "don't read it" because your entire thought process will go topsy turvy but I end up reading it anyway. So you did it again, nothing surprising about it. I do have a question though how do you manage to do this every time, see reason in Shivay's acts and omissions and make your readers also conform to your thoughts?.

I know he has always been a man of few words, he has always kept the display of his love, care and affection private. I still remember, how post Daksh revelation track, when Anika wasn't talking to him and he had carried her back to the house but dropped her on the ground when he realized the entire family was around😆 I mean, at such a critical time, when his entire being was flooded with guilt, and he was dying to talk to her, he just dropped her and strode to his room, just so he doesn't need to face the embarrassment of his action. 😆 I know those were initial stages, but even when their relationship started blooming, he would always shy away to show his side of affection infront of everyone, for as far as I could remember (I'm not talking about his concern or sympathy).

But we all should also realize that this is not the same Shivay we are so used to seeing for the past one year, who was blocked with so many layers, anymore. After getting exposed to such a massive blow, that too by his own mother who he had worshiped all his life and hadn't wanted to hear a single word against her, a LOT of the attributes of and within him changed, and it did significantly! I know, they have only given us a mere glimpse of how guilty he had felt and how he wasn't being able to meet his eyes with hers, but there's just so much more to his culpability, his redemption AND his changed perception towards the two most important women of his lives, that is left to show. And I believe, once we do get the thorough display of all that, we will actually realize how meaningful his each gestures and "PDA"s are.

How I am seeing him right now is, as you mentioned him to be, "a lover who is head over heals in love with Anika". He had always been a lover, but his love wasn't even close to what he feels for her right now, after knowing to what extent she had gone for him and his happiness. The three months separation of theirs that has become the foundation of this rigid and powerful bond they share today, as well as, her sacrifice, selflessness and love when it comes to him has scraped off the last layer of the rock-hard SSO and now he is JUST Anika's Shivay, and no one else! It doesn't matter to him whether he is showing his love at a corner inside the four walls of their bedroom or before the whole world. After what he has been through, and after such a crucial realization about his love, and his wife, he couldn't but give a damn about matters like this.

"He could be an obsessive possessive lover too, learning to strike a balance between all his relationships."

My thought PRECISELY!

I am personally extremely happy with how they're portraying Shivay's character after Pinky's exposure. People claim his recent PDA to be the assassination of SSO's character. I call it the blooming of a beautiful husband who is no one but Anika's Shivay!
