Ram Charan & Upasana Konidela blessed with twins; Chiranjeevi confirms news

Actor Ram Charan and businesswoman Upasana Konidela have welcomed twins, a baby boy and a baby girl, in 2026. With this, the couple are now parents to three children. They already have a daughter, Klin Kaara, who was born in 2023. The news was confirmed by the family on Saturday, following hours of speculation online.

Congratulations poured in from fans and well wishers soon after the announcement. While Ram Charan and Upasana have not issued a personal statement yet, the family chose to share the news through Chiranjeevi’s social media post, which confirmed that both the babies and the mother are healthy.

Chiranjeevi shared the announcement with an emotional note. He wrote, “With immense joy and a heart full of gratitude, we are happy to share that @AlwaysRamCharan and @upasanakonidela have been blessed with twins - a baby boy and a baby girl. Both the babies and the mother are healthy and doing well. Welcoming these little ones into our family is a moment of pure joy and divine blessing for us as grandparents.We sincerely thank everyone for their prayers, love, blessings and good wishes -Chiranjeevi & Surekha.”

Ram Charan and Upasana got married in June 2012 after getting engaged in December 2011. The two had known each other before tying the knot. Upasana is the vice chairperson of Apollo Charity and the granddaughter of Apollo Hospitals founder Prathap C Reddy. Ram Charan is the son of actor and politician Chiringeevi.

In June 2023, the couple welcomed their first child, Klin Kaara. In Diwali 2025, Upasana had hinted at her second pregnancy through a video from her Seemantham ceremony. She wrote, “This Diwali was all about double the celebration, double the love and double the blessings,” which many interpreted as a confirmation of twins now.

On the work front, Ram Charan was last seen playing dual roles in Game Changer in 2025. The film received mixed to negative reviews and failed to perform at the box office. He is currently shooting for the sports drama Peddi, which also features Janhvi Kapoor at present. Apart from acting, he is also backing Nikhil Siddhartha’s period project, The India House, as a producer.
