I don't think the Pawanias actually know the truth about RajPreet relationship.
They only know that he dumped her at the alter. But probably now, they think that everything's fine between the two.
Amba has seen Raj take Preet's side a couple of times and I don't think even she knows about the problems Preet has faced or is facing.
Preet has not told anyone because suddenly Simi has entered out of nowhere and everyone's preoccupied with her and her problems.

Why should Sukhi, or anyone else for that matter, hold a grudge against Raj when Preet herself doesn't? Until the contract, Preet didn't even care that she was dumped at the temple; she was always occupied trying to get Raj back. For all they know, RajPreet reconciled after the temple drama. I guess that's just what their culture is like. Once their daughter is married off, she's no longer their concern. Out of sight, out of mind, you know?

Yup that's the general concept. A daughter once married is not her parents concern. She should fend for herself. Even if the guy dumps her. They would not be bothered. Even if it's a arranged match. They would blame the kismet but not bother to look out for the girl. The general theory being that society does not look kindly upon the girl whose husband left her. And if the parents support her then it would be difficult to get her siblings married, especially girl siblings.

Don't some parents try to force their daughter to go back to her husband? My grandmother always forced my mother to go back to my paternal grandfather's house.
