Yes you said the exact word for satrupa..we can only understand why she did that but cannot support and sympatgize with her.

Interesting discussion.
While I agree with a lot of you, I do sympathize with her for the loss of her son. In spite of having both a son and daughter, she lost her son to death and her daughter to her own actions. Anami will never love or respect her as she does her pagli padithain and I doubt if Satrupa herself will be able to shower as much love she had for Vatsalya for Anami. Isn't that punishment enough?
Yes, she was selfish enough to send away her daughter instead of her son, but for that mistake, did she deserve such a harsh punishment is what I wonder. And in no way, Vatsalya deserve to die because he was the one who was raised in Lal Mahal.
This is a tangled web of emotions woven brilliantly.
Oh, I forgot to add, while I might find it in my heart to sympathise with her a little bit, I can never ever support her actions. She is a lady with an iron stomach who does not think twice about playing dirty as long as she can justify it. Not your regular mother figure. Definitely not.

Not a injustice only to her but also to the parents who raised her with all their heart and soul. Instead of being greatful to them she gets them charged and arrested for kidnapping. Like what a 🤬 . the truth is Satrupa is a selfish woman who can go through any extend for self gain. That's exactly whats she doing, using Anami. She chose to keep Vatsalya for power. And now she's ready to accept "her daughter" for power.

I don't think its quite as simple as that. I think she craved power because her husband turned out to be a spineless man who cared more about his pleasures. He didn't tell her that he was the father of a child when he married her!! How shocking it must have been to a young bride. Not just him but his parents too. So, in her mind, she taking up the mantle of the successor or the guardian of the successor was justified. While she wanted the money and the power, I think she wanted it for her kids..first for Vatsalya and now for Anami. The fact that they might not have wanted the same...in fact didn't want the same was unimportant.

She was least worried about her whereabouts till date and now she wants Anami back to get back to power. It will be her blood in power is all she is worried about.
It was her selfishness that for her need she framed the gentle people who raised her daughter and gave all the love to her. Her daughter was not deprived of love but grew in environment full of love. The love she denied her for whatsoever reason it may be.
Even today, she uses them to get Anami listen to her wish - like making her eat. Ideally if a mother will want to be a mother she will be so possessive of her that she will make her efforts.. try try and try on her motherly credibility to make Anami eat. But she does it in easy way using people who can do anything for Anami and vice versa.

@bold,even today satrupa think Anami is like a goal which she has to achieve anyhow but not her daughter..Either she is not understanding the simple logic that you cannot agree Anami for anything by blackmailing her for each and every time or she is adament to win her by her business oriented techniques thinking she is just another business deal..Now the question is would she did the same to vatsalya if it was not anami but vatsalya?

Agree that satrupa was betrayed her sasuraal so she craved for power so that in future her children get their rights they deserve..So may be she wanted to take the power always in her hand and make it sure to not let others intervene or take chance...that part i understand..but that cannot rubb the dids she did 17 years ago by choosing vatsalya over anami and now taking her back in his absence just because she does not want to give away the power to Avdoot? One can't deny the fact that Satrupa never bring back Anami if Vatsalya is alive..

Agree. But she could have visited her without telling the truth. Could have given her some special care, education, luxuary even 1% of what Vatsalya n her family had for all these years. What about that. So she is guilty for what she did. Can never justify what she did

She had completely forgotten she gave birth to another child for the last 17 years. She was living a happy life with her doting son. She had to be reminded about her to bring her back. I think any good mother will be restless to know how her daughter is living, whether she is being taken care of. What if anami wasnt lucky to get such good parents. what if they abuse her. I dont know how she can even look into anami's eyes and say she is her daughter.

I like satrupa but it's difficult to consider as anami's mother. in my view anami's real mom is pagli panditan
