Hammie's Impression's ep 45~1.9.17~ To be child like..
As adults we hold the belief that grownups know more than a child. That a child is nine out of ten times in the wrong, and in need of reprimand from the adults in her/his life, who are always right. Many a scenario arises when the child cries out but that's not fair to the adults in her/ his life. Usually talking through with the child, an adult can make the child understand that many things in life fail to pan out the way we want to, hence the unfairness. An adult is always expected to be in control, while a child is the one seen as unruly, and rowdy. But the truth of the matter is that children still do need, wherever possible, role models to follow, who can give them sound guidance. Instruct them on how to live life respecting values to do with family, community at large and above to value themselves. This then is the widely set norm between an adult and a child. After watching today's episode though, which in my view is child centred, I tend to put the child in the teaching role and adults in a learning situation. As adults we tend to be so jaded ,in our attitudes. Perhaps it's high time we consider some qualities of a child like it's candid, uncomplicated approach to life. Learn to be more ingenious like a child, rather than be stuck on being disingenuous adults. A child is uninhibited in following what it wants. Whilst as adults, we consider personal agendas and limitations and thus end up being inhibited. If only we had a childlike humility rather than arrogance, many a thorny relationships in our lives would bring forth flowers! Also the scale of enormity of an adult's character lies in ,her/ his quality to say sorry to the child it has wronged..
While no one appears to welcome Chandni. It seems the only thing that welcomes her is the vast cackle of humiliation! that Advay orchestrates, for her! but Nani's pardon for making her go through the whole shebang! some what consoles her; Chandni refuses to drop her arms; he lifts her veil, she reminds him, told him so, her time would come! Looks like introducing his wife to the world does go ahead, despite Advay's plans!
Not just worldly events, but faith rituals, too are run according to set times to usher in organizational harmony. But then, what lies within one's destiny often beats the given time limit. As what will be ,will be. Chandni has to wait for guests who fail to arrive, so Advay can riddle her with taunts let's face it she actually goes looking for public mortification !and what do you know she is getting addicted to this shame. Despite the slight ill omen , of the hour of introducing Chandni is slipping away. Nani is one diehard old dear.. she is one to believe in the show must go on!, gather the rest of the family then! Shilpa is allotted the job of gathering Nani's lost herd for the ceremony. But there is dissension in the camps. In Chandni's and Advay's feud, for good or bad reasons they have other characters who support them in their dispute. The occasion then, is really an excuse to identify the opposing camps. Neela stopping Pooja and Adi from joining in Chandni's mau dikia only reiterates she fully supports Advay . Nani challenging Neela's decision for one, reveals a difference of mindset between this mother and daughter. Pooja having a soft spot for Chandni, shows dissension between this mother and daughter!Later on Advay kick starting Chandni and Indrani s conversation over the phone reveals an important warring strategy of Advay to suit his needs. In short, Advay is aware of all threel mothers & daughters conflicts, currently in his life.He uses each mother and daughter conflicting relationship to serve his purpose. Which is how best to disgrace, deride and ridicule Chandni. Now in this scenario , a child Adi shows the courage, wisdom and foresight to see how a bad situation can be redeemed. His love for Advay really triggers him to be uninhibited and oppose his grandma Neela and go along with his great grandma Nani! Pooja too chooses to oppose her mother's decision as she uses Nani as the role mode to follow. All this for Advay's love.. which he tends to question in this moment in time.
To use a bitter parent's grudge against their child to point score! Advay connects Chandni over the phone to hear what the girl has to say about her failed mu dikia to her mother! Chandni of course says quite the opposite ,to show how much she is being fussed over by her in laws. To me, it's about looking out for maintaining high! her in laws image. She clearly believes in giving positive feedback that breeds harmony rather than discord between the two families. But Advay riding on his high horse! sneers at her, you have no guts to tell the truth to your mother, none came for your mau dikhia! The scene also highlights how those adults who confess their mistakes before children are those who qualify to being their role models. Nani regrets her erroneous judgment of inviting people for the function, more so for giving Chandni, a sense of rejection and emotional hurt. On the other hand Indrani will forever hate Chandni for being who she is! and for incurring her a financial loss. Indrani rather punish Chandni life long rather than feel or say sorry this child, Chandni! .
For whom does the bell ring? For a child! from another child! Adults! Leave it to the children! Their flexibility, curiosity ,sense of adventure can cajole even the tough nuts to wobble like jelly. Watch how Adi literally has Advay dancing to his tunes! getting Advay to perform? that too live action before Chandni is incredible! Children have this magic around them, an seen halo, that melts, and brings out the buried child in all adults. They give grownups a chance to became a child once more.. just to make a child smile! Adi brings in all his mates to the party! All he did was what's app his friends and one party! song ,dance and the significance of the occasion is announced. How he primed all his friends to see the one thing, this grand affair was for! the world to see the stunning beauty of mami Chandni! It had to be a child, Advay loves more than his dear life to show him.. what was such a big deal about the ceremony? Advay lowers his eyes as Chandni watches him from under her veil.. learn from Adi, her weepy eyes seemed to carry the simple message across to him from behind her sheer veil. Children also know how to put pressure on the rigid front of adults! all for a good purpose. Somehow Adi makes it easier for Advay.. this tradition of mau dikia he will have to do! so he might as well, get on with it!! and give the cheering crowd what they want! Reveal! the beautiful bride's face. Nani too gets her cue, she asks Advay and after that she wants him to give Chandni their ancestral bangles!! Lifting the veil he'll do.. regards the kangan, Advay dithers! But once again Adi s affectionate manipulation of his CM forces Advay to give in before this scheming child's demand. Perhaps sometimes a child's presence is useful as it alleviates and attempts to put right a hopeless situation! A child act's as a cherub, perhaps doing gods' work, when individuals act as being at logger heads with god's ways! Advay now almost like a child, humble and meek.. gives into every demand that his little angel want's of him..
Gingerly he raises the veil of his forced bride. One look at her face shows him a watery tear drop on her cheek. He reads sadness over her face. But the girl still has spirit, the moon still boasts of his borrowed fire. Her full lips mumble, as her doe eyes look at him meekly. The time is all yours Advay, but told you my moment will come.. see, this is my moment. His eyes saw no arrogance in her face, rather a quiet conviction to bear all the pain he sends her way. This is her style. To fight with grace and dignity, not with awkwardness and pride. Her tears soften his heart and his face changes into the soft furrowed brow of Dev. His fingers reach out for her warm, supple hand. He holds the ancestral bangle. Just like now, her spirit's willingness at their marriage too, showed how easily he slipped the noose of marriage around her neck with his own vows to enslave her for life! The other bangle, sliding not so easy! Advay has to slip over her previous hand jewellery! she carries on from her mother's family! His ancestral bangle gets stuck over her palm ornaments. Chandni raises her other hand and pulls the screw that holds the two semi circles of the Kangan that symbolizes his family... the bangle slips easily upon her arm! Chandni's eyes tell him, Advay! the marriage vow is to show respect for both families that constitute into uniting a man and woman in marriage.. I Chandni, come to you so that both our families can uphold the sacred bond of marriage ! Advay thus sees with his eyes that she now has the seal of his name, his family a full circle of their bond. But the truth is that she also is a carry forward from her own family, that he will have to respect! That is what he has to deal with! Respect those who wronged him?? uphill task... for him..
The ceremony is done smoothly by courtesy of a child! What else needs to be done? in terms of entertainment and celebration! A song from CM and a warm up dance to build up appetite for the cake and party grab! Adi demands Advay serenade the pretty maiden. The idea is outrageous and quite unthinkable ! Adi superman! Once again comes into action with bringing on his breathlessness fit! immediately Advay breaks into song.. gathering the fading angel Adi inhis arms.. how can I tell you how much I love thee? it's immeasurable? for you I live ,without you. life is meaningless.. Advay gathers the frail frame of the boy in his arms and kisses his forehead.. Chandni stares at Advay's crouched frame.. so much warm love flows out of a heartless iceberg.. she gapes at the love he has for his family.. why can't he see familial love and loyalty is one feature that is similar between them?
To make Adi happy! Advay dances with Chandni too.. for a second the world around them ceases to be.. how much I love you? You cannot imagine? And I know not how to express it Chandni.. you will need to find the inferences of love between the lines of my revenge.. I too smart like you do.. but then you will never know Chandni.. how much I love you. Chandni senses Dev nearby.. surely she hallucinates. Advay's cold words make her snap out of her reverie..listen.. don't you! get any fancy ideas in that pretty little head of yours! I went along with this farce due to my vow to Nani, won't turn you out! and because I love Adi more than I hate you! But keep in mind , my mission is to make your life hell! till you cannot bear burning anymore and you leave me ,this house, this family with your free will!.. Adi comes and joins their hands.. Chandni is put in the centre of a circle.. children dance around her and pull her to dance in the circle too..
The dizzy spell is yet another unwell scenario that crops up in the episode. In both cases Advay emerges as a paramedic dishing out treatment to the patients. One patient s wobbly, wozzy passing out perhaps, has history of vertigo. Chandni is more susceptible to light-headedness . Dev knows about this.. so it's a good thing Advay is ordered to gather , scoop and carry Chandni in his arms to their bedroom. Adi's ring of roses! adoring the new bahu started the swoon. Chandi is hurled against the towering Advay's chest! how helpless, she looks as her sided cheek snuggles against his ribs. He looks down at her with hooded eyes. What is a man meant to do ? drop her? no! A beast does that! and he is still man enough! Nani's call stir him, as in alarm he asks her, Chandni?.. no answer.. no he cannot let her off so easily! Advay scoops her up. Chandni's face rests against the curve of his strong shoulder. Her eyes close, she sleeps like a babe.. one who hadn't slept since ages.. shall I sleep, to die? for just this once, my moment, of peace? heaves Chandni's bosom against his heart. Advay carries her burden ,business like , detached, cold, with a scowl on his face.. drama queen! Hmlet53 2.9.17
