Kumud is speechless.

Guniyal takes Kumud to her room.
VC takes Arjun to his music room.
Guniyal: I have never expected this from you. We were proud of you but it is only because of you we are not able to show our face to anyone. Your dad never used to leave to his class without looking at your face. He had trusted you a lot. Could you not tell us that you are in love with Arjun?
Kumud: I tried to tell that time but because of Kusum's in-laws our talks remained like that.
Guniyal: We had found an alliance for you & have spoken to them. The horoscopes have matched. Your marriage with Saras is finalized.
Kumud is shocked: You people have fixed my marriage & no one has even bothered to tell me. began to love Arjun. We are one at heart.

Guniyal comes in & said, "It was my mistake that I told you to fix Kumud's relationship with Saras. We had not asked her what she wanted. Even now nothing is lost. We can cancel this alliance & get Kumud married to Arjun."

Arjun writes letters to Kumud & waits for her hoping that she will meet him but is unable to believe that Kumud had not come.Arjun leaves for Italy.
At Kumud's place, all are shocked to see VC's condition. They call the doctor who examines him & says, "VC has got a mild heart attack. I can only treat him but I cannot fulfill his wishes."
Guniyal to Kumud: Please save my suhaag. Everything is in your hands now. Please forger Arjun & marry Saras. If possible please forgive me but it is the question of my suhaag.
Kumud goes to VC & said, "I am ready to marry Saras."
VC blesses her.
