Taapsee Pannu.

What are your thoughts on Taapsee Pannu?

She is a good actress. In order to be in the big league, she has to do more commercial films that appeal to more audience. Today, she did Judwaa 2. Maybe tomorrow she can be casted in some mainstream film like YJHD, BKD. You never know. Looks like, she has overshadowed Jaqueline.

Good actress.. Lackluster screen presence..

You talk like anyone needs to even try to overshadow Jacqueline. That woman is im a movie for anything other than acting.

She is good but way too overhyped after Pink IMO. Kirti Kulhari was a lot better than her yet Taapsee's was the most hyped performance. Hell, Ileana was infinite times better in her debut Bollywood film yet she din get half the appreciation 😆 Also, while I have mentioned it a lot of times that nepotism sucks and its pathetic how KJo shoves Alia down everyone's throat by snatching every competitor's opportunity, there is no denying that she is a good actress and has solid screen presence. Just because Taapsee is an outsider, doesn't make her better than Alia because she is a star kid 😆 My annoyance with KJo's Alia obsession aside (and the fact that she is overhyped like no tomorrow for every decent/good performance of hers), I still believe Alia is a better actress than Taapsee 😆

Hard to comment because I haven't seen her Telugu films...but whatever I've seen of her in Bollywood movies, she comes across as a good but not a great actress. She does better in non-glamorous and intense roles. She's good-looking and hot to play an eye candy, but those type of roles will not take her too far and will make her another Jacqueline. I guess she doesn't has much to do in Judwaa 2 other than being a flower pot.
So even if she wants to work in mainstream movies, she needs to take meaty roles to make herself noticeable.
Also she needs to work more on her screen presence.
Well, her strong point is that she's good in doing action. If she works hard on that, she has the potential to carve her own niche by becoming the first action heroine of Bollywood.

Taapsee is overrated big time. She's average at best. Kirti Kulhari was clearly the show stealer in Pink. She acted the best. Brilliant portrayal.

I liked tapasee in her debut in Telugu movie with Prabhas. Now she looks like gothic queen to me.

I don't get the hype around these girls... Tapsee... Swara Bhaskar, etc. People are just pushing them coz they want them to succeed...against the star kids... I agree not all star kids are great and are very privileged...but still...these ppl aren't great too...atleast IMO.
