When I heard that name I had felt did it mean the lady with 7 faces and today dadiji told yes in fact Satrupa is a woman with 7 faces. Now why 7 gains so much importance. Reason the Chakravyuha has 7 layers, also the sins are also numbered as 7.
The problem with 7 faces or 7 sins is that we dont know which sin is making us do certain actions. And if you have to break chakravyuha you need to understand not only each face, each sin but most importantly the power of these faces, power of these sins.

The mistake people make while dealing with Chakravyuha is that, they attack people, not the power of the people, they attack sins, not the power of the sins that feed that sin. If you need to understand the power of sins, you need to understand your power. We so much want God's power we dont understand our power.
Only if we understand our power, we can cut through the power of 7 faces, 7 sins or Chakravyuha. Understand the sins feed on when you defend the sins telling you dont have them in you. The hypocrisy feeds the crime, it feed the sin, it gives it the power. Mahabharatha was not caused by Draupadi, dussashan or Duri it was caused by people like Bhishma and Drona who spoke great dialogues on the virtues, but failed to act on them. They couldnt rise above their image, their selfishness and they fed the criminal. They defended the criminal. None of them could rise and say openly what is happening to Draupadi is wrong. They will fight the war with the person who is touching the hair of the kulvadhu, insulting her, trying to disrobe her. They gave power to dusshashan.

If Anami has to win, it is not pujan her target should be. He is bad. His target should be the hypocrites who are talking big things but are unable to accept the truth and feeding pujan.

Yes Satrupa has 7 faces. She is power hungry. Look at the twin face of baldev. In front of his daughter he is a father who is cheated by her mother. Behind the scenes a husband who accuses his wife of adultery and claims that girl who looks rough cannot be his daughter. Anami sees the sin of her mother, when will she see the truth of her father.

Now comes Dadaji and Dadiji. This man's ego is hurt. His DIL has fooled him. He doesnt want to accept the truth, he doesnt want to allow Satrupa the decision. His wife feeds on his insecurity pouring oil on the fire. They shouldnt have trusted Satrupa. Yes dont trust Satrupa. But they found reason to distrust Guruji also.

This is what is said creation of your truth than trying to accept the truth. Royal Steel completely going to a girl. When Satrupa was in charge she was not completely in charge. Dadaji directed her, or she was expected to within the limits of being an ideal woman, ideal bahu as expected by the family. The main problem for them now is Satrupa crossed that limit as a woman and she took the decision as a woman, telling she has a child to whom Royal Steel should go. And that child is a girl.

Anami's biggest issue will be in her personal battle with her mother, trying to prove her mother selfish, power hungry she will miss the fact that this will be used by those in Lal Mahal to grab the power. And power will go in wrong hands, her mother's loss means power in wrong hands.

beautiful write up.👍🏼.

few random takes:

Assumptions are just as dangerous as half truths. when the promos aired most of us (atleast i assumed) that Anami was abandoned by the family because she is a girl. and it turned out only Satrupa gave her up when the family doesn't even know about her existence.

Is the family patriarchal to the point of hating a girl child?
i don't think so. Dadaji disowned his own son and he himself said thought of Satrupa as beta. yes! she never got full power. maybe that's because she doesn't share the blood or bloodline?
which Anami does.

business and property usually goes to son because daughter of a rich business family gets married into another equally if not more rich family. it is business sense. (and lot many times patriarchal). nowadays lot many strong beautiful girls are handling their father's business but usually it is considered son's duty.
so if the toss up is between Vatsalya and Anami.. Vatsalya will win. but if no Vatsalya is there.. will they let Anami to contest if not win? as of now her being a girl is not an issue. her existence is the issue.
Dadaji is rightfully outraging. he has been 'played' and pushed into a corner. but he is the same man who genuinely loved his grandson, still mourns him and feels guilty for giving away the child's right to someone else.
and something about the Bade miya and shehanai convo between Anami and dadaji and his expressions tells me that if and when he accepts her for his grandchild he will dote on her. i could be utterly wrong here.
depends if he actually pulls the trigger on his own on her next episode.

i will give benefit of doubt to Baldev too. he has been a pathetic sorriest excuse of father to Narottam. but his expressions when he said 'a father doesn't even know about existence of his daughter' were beautiful. at this moment the man is getting pounded from all directions. hence he is lashing out. not defending him. trying to understand him. but when he joins Anami's corner he probably will be her biggest strength.

Satrupa may have seven faces but she more often than not carries all those faces with elan. everybody.. dadaji, dadi, pujan, Baldev heck even Anami knows what she is capable of. Pujan on the other hand is a snake.
Dadi even bigger one if i am guessing right.

Narottam is a wild card.

I am so looking forward to see evolution and more shades of these characters. the beauty of this serial is.. when you think you got this character pegged down... the character ends up surprising you the very next episode.
the only character which i am sure of is.. Avdhoot. - he is an idiot.

rest all characters.. i will take them one day at a time.

sorry for going completely random.😳
wonderful write up once again.

Your takes are always a pleasure to read.

I found it very interesting how it took Vikram not even a moment to dismiss Guruji's words as merely those of an old man. This is the same man whose words have governed every major action of his. How easily our ego allows us to justify events to fit in with our thinking.

@bold.
so true. wonderfully said.

end of the day we see what we choose to see.

To think of it even Satrupa justifies herself. however in her case it is guilt. and that's what puts her in 'grey' category instead of 'black'. she blames Guruji, thinks she did it whatever she did for her children, doing what she is doing again for Anami.. but she ends up doing what SHE wants. But she also feels guilty and hurt. quite a wonderfully shaded character.

You are a class apart girl ! No one can analyse as beautiful and apt as you . you always have a unique but so relevant point of view . I do not think I can add more to your post. Just that I am completely lost when I start reading your posts.

@Banjaran my POV stemmed from the point Arshi raised. How could they ignore Guruji's words. Guruji told the girl has been raised by his disciple. This is the man who has always guided that family, yet his words carry no weight. Why.
Coming to Baldev I woudlnt have minded him if he was angry at Satrupa for the things Satrupa herself said. But he accused his wife of adultery, while in front of everyone he accused her of hiding Anami.
And yes you are right. It is her existence that is the question. See they wont hate the girl, but we need to see how it affects when the whole empire is going to the girl.
Yes in present world many corporate have their daughters as next in line. But still the patriarchal thoughts continue.
Coming to Dadi she is a character that needs to be watched out. She talks too smoothly. Even Sudha is layered for me.
I completely agree to you Avdhoot is idiot 😆😆. You dont have to search for layers in that character. All other characters is wait and watch.

@hugsandkisses thank you dear

Shruthi, how brilliantly you connected all the 7s.
I was looking out for your take when i heard that dialogue.
SAtrupa doesn't look power hungry to me, more like someone pushed into her curretn role to save the family wealth, prestige.
I missed quite a few epis and i could be wrong.

@simran I dont think Satrupa has done any crimes, but she has done mistakes. Even for me she doesnt look power hungry, though the world has made her look power hungry. I really felt for her in day before yesterday episode when she spoke about the death of her twin babies. She was concerned. And today she stole the scene brilliantly when she said I dont want to explain anything after Baldev accused her of adultery.
Yes Vikramji gave the responsibility of running the empire to his bahu against his useless son who spent time in brothels and drinking and somehow a lady managing a business empire and succeeding in it doesnt go well with certain men including her husband and to some extend I feel her MIL also.

And most important symbolism Simran. Satrupa's hair is tied and Anami's open. Tied hair represents a woman who is within the maryada of society which Satrupa was including her son preference. And untied hair of a woman represents the fire unbridled fire that will burn the people, places and system that burned her.
