Hey Guys everyone is complaining abt ShiVika's Haldi rasam.I want to tell u something abt Punjabi's Wedding rituals. I belongs to Punjabi family and I attended many Punjabi weddings. I don't know I am right or wrong, in Punjabi Weddings most important functions are :-
Roka and shagun/engagement ceremony
1. Sangeet
2. Mehandi raat :- In this function both groom and bride has to put mehandi on their hands and feet.
3. Satsang :- It is like Mata ka Jagrata.
4. Hawan/Vatna ki rasam :- It is like haldi ki rasam but haldi quantity is used less. In this Ubtan is mixed with mustard oil and then apply to groom/bride. But it is not in yellow color.
5. Gharoli ki rasam :- In this pot filled with temple's water used for groom/bride's bathing.
6. Sehra bandi rasam for bride and chura rasam for bride.
There are also so many functions, but these that I mentioned are most important, but truly saying I never saw haldi in punjabi weddings, we called it Vatna rasam in which uptam is used.
