Deepika Padukone refuses to star opposite Varun Dhawan

It was reported early this month, that Deepika Padukone was keen to work with her 'Piku' director Shoojit Sircar once again. Rumours around town hinted at the actress teaming up with the director for his next with Varun Dhawan titled 'October'. Reports hinted at a possible first time pairing between Deepika and Varun for the drama. However, reports now suggest that those eager to see the two stars share screen space might have to wait a tad longer. As the film will revolve primarily around Varun's character, and as the role of his love interest will be minimal, reports suggest that Deepika refused to star in the film.

The height difference is what came to my mind when i imagined varun with deepika.. .

achha kiya...she will look like Varun's older sister...like Madhuri used to look with the baby faced Khans.

^^Really? I always felt that Madhuri looked good with the Khans, even though she looked a bit older. 😃

Deepika and Varun...not sure how they would look together, but the TOI headline is misleading. She has an issue with the script not Varun.

I feel that also. Maybe subconsciously cause she debuted before them. In age all 3 Khans are older than her but the pairings were never that great. Like if Kajol was paired with Hrithik Roshan . Hrithik is actually older than Kajol by almost a year but the pairing would look awkward I think cause she debuted so much before him.

Along with the obvious height disparity!

Good job! They physically will not work together. Its not about age...they just look odd together. Ranbir/Aishwarya pair worked..there was some strong chemistry there...but i cant see that with Varun/Deepika

Ughh why 😭 I really wanted to see the both of them together! Hopefully in another project
