@ShivaayAnika: I understand where you're coming from, but seriously I've watched IB from the beginning, and I've seen how OmRu were treated. In fact, Shivika were so much of a priority that OmRu weren't even shown that much post-wedding. It was OmRu fans who demanded and got a new show for them, also because SP was impressed with Kunal and Leenesh. Shrenu was also SP choice, did you know that?
Also, you ask me why PH would want undermine their own actors? Hello, go back to last to last week. The Kali Thakur MU was the most important conflict between Om and Gauri, and look at how it was handled: 2 mins??? Daksh got like a week to himself, and he wasn't even the main villain in Shivika's life. Plus, post that we don't even get to see Om feeling guilty or anything. Where is the nuance, I ask you?? To show their feelings properly, SS is needed but thats something the PH won't give them. Its only because Shrenu, Kunal, Leenesh are strong performers that even within limited time and whatever the role, they can prove themselves as good actors (equal to Nakkul and Surbhi).
Also, I don't want to sound bitter, but DBO audience is used to these characters taking charge of their lives, not blindly following each other. I was impressed that we have Gauri and Rudy making plans, because that's what they do, they are active characters who take charge, lead and make plans, so thankfully their roles can't be reduced to shippers.
A lot of DBO audience has already given up, and many are not going to watch until Rikara/Ruvya get their own track too, along with family drama. I watch, since I've watched IB from the beginning so I relate more to characters than just the love stories.
Also, sorry to burst your bubble but IB is always going to be about Shivika, thats why DBO was created in the first place. At least, OmRu fans were happy with DBO, and we started liking Gauri, and later Bhavya as well. After merger, I don't see them getting the importance they were used to in DBO.
I don't want to start a fan war here. I'm happy with my characters/actors making the best of what they get. But I would appreciate if you let us mourn in peace, at least don't rub salt on our wounds by suggesting that PH is not trying to sideline these characters or that in future the central narrative might shift to Rikara/Ruvya.
P.S. Ruvya might even get a proper track, not central, but something substantial 'cos Gul loves Bhavya, but for Rikara my hopes are really low.
