First of all , can I just appreciate how awesome Gauri and Rudra have become as characters. Please don't say they are chamchas or whatever, because characters are more than their love story. Rudra is the heart of the family, and the most level headed bloke right now. Gauri is tiny but she is no pushover.
The Rakhi she tied on SSO, seems to have given her a lot of self confidence in the house. She takes on the role of "Bahu of the house" very confidently no matter what Pinky taunts her with. She knows she has Om's, Jhanvi's , Dadi's, Rudra's and SSO's support behind her. Pinky can't do squat to her but be mean. I love the way she tells Ragini off like the insignificant intruder she is.
Rudy walking up to this huge man, and threatening him to stay away from his Bhabhi is my favourite scene of yesterday. Usually playful and funny, he meant business there when he told him in no minced words to get out from standing in the middle of Shivaay and Annika. Normally he has silly plans, but there it was clear. Get out, or I'll make you ...
But he's a sweetie, and Vikram explained nicely he's already one foot out the door. I think he doesn't want this marriage either, but is doing it to win favour of Ragini.
(I have this notion in my head that VAT loves Ragini, but she's too dumb to love him back because she wants looks and perfection, and she feels VAT isn't quite that, like SSO. Irony, right?)
Gauri's reactions, seeing Rudra changing camps after some cordial man-to-man talk was hilarious. I really love her character now. 😆 She steps in and tells point blank that this is a lovers' tiff, get out of the way before you make things worse between them.
Annika too was very abrupt and clear. "there is no place for any other man in my life but Shivaay. I will always love him. So let's end this now. I'm not going to marry anyone else. If there's a fight, there's also love. So please do me one last favour and back out."
Vikram listened to all 3 arguments and agrees to leave, but he didn't say WHEN. So, they were surprised to see the man still ready for engagement. Steel spined Gauri had to change tactics.
If he won't stop this farce of an engagement, she's going to make full on melodrama of it. Remember the time she tossed Annika into the pool so SSO would come and save her? This is exactly that. She's going to happily throw Annika bhojai (glad she still calls her that, imagine SSO's face if everyone stopped calling Annika, Bhabhi? finished..!) into this wedding, with a last minute backout. Gauri is fully confident that SSO will come through for Annika at some point. They won't let Annika go get married to this person.
The level of trust Annika has on Rudy, Gauri, Om and Bhavya is very high. But at some point, I'd like to see either Annika and SHivaay lose their tempers and rant, scream , whatever at each other. SSO's suddenly got iron control of his temper, and Annika is suddenly able to keep stone silent at frustrating emotional blackmailing.
Yes, Shivaay wants the truth, he deserves the truth, as people like to say. But he's bullying her into revealing it, knowing full well she doesn't bend to bullying. He's forcing her into marriage again, this time to another man, this time withholding himself and his love from her. Before he kidnapped Sahil, and blackmailed her into marrying him.
I so need for Annika to step out of this battle. Just don't fight, it's a tense inevitable Lose-Lose battle. I feel my hair falling out watching them fight. She can just say, "I won't marry. I haven't moved on. But I can't tell you this secret. Don't force me"
The love is so obvious between the two, now both are tired and desperately waiting for the other to just give up so they can stop the fighting. Shivaay is actually pleading with her in his heart to please understand and stop this stand off. Felt really bad for him here.
He was actually happy when she didn't show up, but then she did at Gauri's urging. He's so sure she won't go through with this farce ,he was momentarily afraid he was going to lose badly in this stupid standoff.
She met his disbelief with a stony silence. "SO you're ready for this?"
She walks away silently, no response. He's the one pushing for this. It's either she runs/leaves or she stays and faces this. She can't tell the truth, because it is selfish to do so.
He calls out aloud, "ANNIKA !!"
She lets out a breath she'd been holding, almost out of relief. She turns around with an expectant ghost of a smile, he realizes she is waiting for him to concede. It's like she showed her hand of cards to him, and he realized he had the winning hand. Her poker face had slipped and the hope on her face showed he was at the verge of winning.
So he went on with the war.. "All the best..."
*paused to bang head on table*multiple times..*
Her silence is the worst thing for him right now.
