Now that the only man stopping Bollywood from creating great films is gone. Just waiting for our own Jurassic Park, Star Wars, Apocalypse Now!
Seriously that guy was so much against freedom of film makers that he forced Alia Bhat to do her Bihari accent like Bangladeshi.
He also made a Manipuri female boxer look like a half punjabi half bihari girl !!
He also changed the entire script of Harry Met Sejal and Aye Dil hai Mushkil and Dunkirk and turned them into a night mare for the viewers !
Thank god that guy is gone.
Aab toh Bandra mein Ghar Ghar Oscar !!
Bollywood ke acche din aab aaye hain!
On a very personal note: Alia's Bihari accent in Udta Punjab was by far the worst in the history of wrong Bihari accents.
PS- the above post is not mine but posts one of my school seniors working in some capacity in creative field
I know right her accent was so off and she looked like a 10 yo boy, I was surprised what I missed as she was being praised so much (and for what). My mom is from Haryana and when we watched Dangal she was like why is Aamir ruining Haryanvi and said that girl (Datto) got it bang on.
About making good movies vo to bhool jao, I think its beginning of the end for bw. Movies are tanking left right centre. Khans can't seem to get off their high horse (obviously star power is not selling tickets). People aren't still taking scripts seriously. Footfalls are going down thanks to better content available on fingertips. Going for a mediorce or bad movie is no longer worth it. I used to watch movies religiously every weekend but now I just feel nothing is engaging enough to spend 1000-1500 bucks everytime when I can spend my time on Netflix or Amazon.
I think in about a decade from now theaters will remain for movies with special effects etc and IMAX, content heavy movies will be streamed (this includes hw).
Sorry about the rant and typos but I am a really disappointed cinephile. last movie that brought a smile on my face was La La Land, hope BW will pull up its socks.
