Hello folks!! This is my new SS on my favourite couple Rikara. This a story in an Alternate Universe where there are hardly any villains and Tej is agood man. The characters are almost same as the play with some changes in the relationships. This story will have a maximum of 25 parts. The story has no relation with the current plot of the show.
I hope you enjoy it. Positive criticism is always welcome. This is a pretty light hearted fiction.
Characters :
Omkara Singh Oberoi: The male protagonist of the story. Age: 26. A successful artist. Does not believe in love after being cheated by ex-girlfriend. Does not believe in marriages either.
Gauri Kumari Sharma: The female lead of the story. Age:25. An orphan. Lives with maternal uncle, aunt and cousin. A successful fashion designer. Works for the Oberois. Her character is just like the one in the show. A strong independent woman. Loves the concept of soulmates.
Anika Chaudhury: Gauri's cousin. Married to Shivaay Singh Oberoi. An event manager under the Oberoi group of companies. Character same as the serial
Shivaay Singh Oberoi: Omkara's elder brother. Husband of Anika. Managing director of Oberoi group of companies . Character is same as the serial.
Rudra Singh Oberoi : Youngest of the Oberoi siblings. A famous musician. Character same as the show.
Bhavya Malhotra: Rudra's girlfriend. IPS officer. Lives with Oberois. Character same as the show.
Tej Singh Oberoi: Head of the family. Father of ShivOmRu. A very loving father and husband and an awesome father-in-law. Owns the Oberoi group of companies.
Jhanvi Singh Oberoi: ShivOmRus Mom. A successful interior designer. Character same as the show. Totally loves her family.
Dadi: Same as the show.
Riddhima: Om's ex girl friend.
Pinky Chaudhury: Gauri's aunt and Anika's mother. A very loving homemaker. Loves both Anika and Gauri equally.
Shakti Chaudhury: Gauri's uncle and Anika's father. Owns Chaudhury and Co. Family friend of the Oberois.
Plot:
The Oberois and Chaudhurys have decided to get Gauri and Omkara married. The marriage is an arranged one although their elder siblings Anika and Shivaay had married out of love. Gauri and Omkara absolutely despise each other. Gauri finds Omkara to be rude, stuck up and sadist. And Gauri's incessant chirping and jovial nature gives Omkara a headache. They fight constantly and cannot stay in the same room for a long time. Both their families find this very amusing.
Chapter 1:
WHAT!!! GET MARRIED TO HER??? Are you people crazy???
MUJHE BHI KOI SHAUK NAHI HAIN AAP SE SHAADI KARKE AAPNI ZINDAGI BARBAD KARNE KA!!!
HOW DARE YOU??
HOW DARE YOU MR. OMKARA SINGH OBEROI!!
The living room of Chaudhury mansion had transformed into a war zone with two people constantly shouting at each other. A girl in her 20's wearing a beautiful back saree . Her silky hair left open and her doe like eyes thickly lined with kohl. She looked like an angel. The man in front of her, also in his 20's wearing a white kurta and a black traditional coat, his equally silky mane tied in a bun, looking sinfully handsome. Both of them oblivious to each other's good looks being blinded by rage kept on howling.
Rest of the family members sat quietly facepalming themselves. They should have known that this would be a very bad idea.
Main e toh pehle hi kaha tha dono ko kidnap karke shaadi ke mandap pe direct bitha dete hain, muttered a visibly scared Rudra.
An equally shocked Anika nodded in agreement. She should have known that her crazy sister and stubborn brother in law would never agree to the proposal.
ARE TUMHE TOH PAGAL KHANE MEIN HONA CHAHIYE THA!!!
AUR AAP KO JAIL MEIN!!!
Shivaay was totally astound by the behavior of his otherwise calm and composed brother. Omkara was always the sensible one but he was acting like a god damn four year old.
BAS KARO TUM DONO!
Jhanvi and Pinky's shout brought the duo's fight to an abrupt end. Both Tej and Shakti sighed in relief. Their children were giving them a headache. The only person who seemed to be unaffected by the whole situation was Dadi who was constantly smiling at the bickering duo.
Bacche ho kya tum dono? Ladai kiye bina bhi matter solve ho sakta hain. Jhanvi lectured.
Mom yaha par solve hone layak kuch hain hi nahi!! Main is pagal ladki se kabhi bhi shaadi nahi karunga. Jeena mushkil ho jayega mera. I can't even breathe in the same room as her without getting a headache. Clarified Om finally satisfied that he had made a non arguable point.
Matlab kya hain aapka? Aapse toh kaafi zyaada acche hain hum. Aap ke jaisa sada huya karela humne aaj tak nahi dekha. Humesha aisa chehra banake ghumte ho jaise abhi kisika murder kar doge. Nandi Bail!! Gauri taunted back.
Dekha!! Dekha aapne Mom. How she insults me.!!! Shouted enraged Omkara
Phir se shuru ho gaye. Exclaimed a clueless Rudra.
Anika, Bhavya and Shivaay nodded in agreement .
Chup kar khoteya!!! Hum logo ne tumhari raaye nahi mangi bas bataya hain tum dono ko. Yeh shaadi ho kar rahegi . Yeh mera aakhri faisla hain! Declared Dadi.
Par Dadi...
But Dadi...
Gauri and Om exclaimed together. They turned to look at each other before turning away their faces in the opposite direction.
Dadi main yeh shaadi hargiz nahi karunga. Aap mujhe jo bolengi mein karne ke liye taiyyar hu bas yeh shaadi nahi!!
Haan Dadi! Hum aapko bohot maante hain par yeh shaadi hum nahi kar payenge. Hume maaf kar dijiye. Pleaded Gauri.
For the first time both of them had agreed on something.
Shaadi toh karni padegi. Om puttar tu ise meri aakhri iccha hi samajhle. Apni dadi ki yeh ek khwahish puri nahi kar sakta tu? Mujhe toh baas mere teen baccho ko khush dekhna hain. Apni daadi ki khushi ke liye itna bhi nahi kar payega tu? Dadi sniffed.
Om kneeled down in front of Dadi. He kept his palm on her knees.
Dadi please aap aisa maat boliye. Aap ko pata hain na ki aapke liye meri jaan bhi haazir hain. Par yeh shaadi waadi main nahi maanta. Agar ye shaadi ho bhi gayi toh hummain se koi khush nahi reh payega. Om tried to reason .
Iska matlab tum dono shaadi nahi karoge yeh final hain? Shivaay asked finally. He was tired of all this suspense and drama.
Haan Shivaay...
Bade bhaiya aap hume sochne ke liye thoda waqt denge please. Gauri spoke up interrupting Om.
Omkara was shocked.
Isme shochne wali baat kya hain? Yeh shaadi kabhi bhi nahi hogi!! Declared Om clearly annoyed with Gauri.
Humne aapnse kuch pucha?? Gauri replied.
Dadi yeh shaadi ek bada decision hain. Hume sochne ke liye thoda waqt chahiye. Gauri requested Dadi.
Ek ghanta hain tum dono ke paas. Jao aur jaake baat karke ao. Par jawab muhjhe positive hi chahiye. Dadi replied with a smile. She looked nearly ecstatic.
Omkara glared angrily at Gauri. He got up and went towards Gauri. He grasped her wrist a little too tight. Almost making her wince.
Chalo mere saath. Om dragged Gauri upstairs.
Rudra immediately left his seat to protest against his brother's harsh actions but was pulled down by daadi.
Jaane de unhe. Dadi said calmly
Yeh O thik nahi kar rahe daadi. Aapne dekha woh Gauri di ko kaise lekar gaaye!!! Rudra protested
Kya hum yeh thik kar rahe hain Maa? Tej asked.
Un dono ko aise force karna shaadi ke liye... Jhanvi sounded unsure.
Rest of the family members agreed.
Isse jyaada sahi undono ke liye aur kuch nahi ho sakta. Tum logo ne dekha nahi kaise ek dusre ke kareeb aate hi dono mein jaan chali aati hain. Sirf yeh dono hi ek dusre ke zakhm bhar sakte hain. Mujhe toh baas mere dono bacche bilkul pehle jaise haaste bolte wapas chahiye. Dadi's voice became heavy with emotions.
Rest of the family did not know what to say but their silence spoke volumes. And they decided that Dadi's decision was perhaps the best for both Omkara and Gauri.
Aur waise bhi takraar ke bina ishqbaazi shuru kaise hogi? Bhavya spoke up smiling slightly trying to break the uncomfortable silence that hung in the room.
Ishqbaazi ka toh pata nahi par Tadibaazi bohot dikhane wale hain dono. Anika followed Bhavya. And the whole living room erupted with laughter.
