CGM renounced at age 56 not 42 years

Bindu was not even 17 if CGM renounce in 42 years

But Ashoka was born during CGM reign when CGM was emperor

And Bindu married first girl only by 16-17, Ashoka mom(Dharma) must be his 4th or 5th wife

So Bindu must be at least 25 years when Ashoka was born

So CGM actually in history left at 55-56 years not 42 for sure

Why did CGM leave? There was famine in large parts of India and hence he became jain monk and left to penance etc

None of his wives accompanied him but many converted to jainism with him

He did penance in forest in Karnataka and fasted himself to death, he is buried on top of hill there(his tomb is there)

Bindusar was a good son, he never hated his dad or tried to kill him for throne etc
Indeed none of his step moms brought him up, it was his dai ma and dad and chankya in dads abscence(when CGM was at war) who brought him up

Bindusar loved his daima a lot, when he doubted Chankya had killed his mom, its his dai ma who told truth and he repented his misbehavior to Chankya

you have given us Excellent facts..regarding CGM and his dynasty all are hearsay and some history were gathered from Jain and Buddhist parchments, that too about 1000 years afterwards

But one soothing news is CGM went on sanyas at the age of 56..now our CGM is hardly running 40 and so there is still possible love track between C & N

As per history ,there is nothing much on Bindusaar..Asoka is the son of Bindusaara and that brahmin girl and contributed nothing in the expansion of Magadh kingdom(some say)

he didn't turn against his father and as you said CGM voluntarily pronounced him as his successor

But nandini is not a fictious character..she was Nardis and was a warrior princess and was the head of a division in his war legions;won many battles with CGM and went in sanyas with him and died before CGM(one faction of history)

What ever be, in our story all evil should be rooted out and the aadharsh couple should lead a lovable life atleast for 2 episodes

Because he was sandwiched bet two great emperors his achievements are ignored

I am not sure of nandini or nardis because no one mention her in history books of back then(travellers or ambassadors or ashoka pillars or chankya no details of her given etc)

. You are an ardent cn fan so I think you are defending this serial too much. That niadrus article is nonsense. Indica is not even available in its original form. No niadrus is ever mentioned by megasthenes. He mentions none of cgm's wives.

Except the name Chandra Gupta Maurya all facts are hearsay and contradicting one another..This Nardis theory is from my history lessons..OK..we will take what is needed to us and pleasant to us..at present we are in dire need of C & N reunion and love story

As somebody said we are not going to appear for any exams..why bother? I cannot say I am a fan of CN, but of Rajat..and want and pray for his serial to be a success
