Has Anika been given a personality transplant?

Perhaps a futile question as the writers race full speed ahead into shaadi track #64839, but I still have to ask.

How is it that an Anika who claims to love Shivaay so desperately is made so amazingly apathetic towards him these days? There were plenty of stupidities in today's Shivika scenes but I'll focus on a few. I get that the writers wanted to render the whole truth revelation pointless to keep dragging the storyline but they couldn't come up with any better excuse for why Anika won't tell him the next morning? I had to laugh over Anika saying ki "too much" ho raha hai given the absolute nonsense the writers have made her character spout these days. All the rational lines are only reserved for Shivaay while Anika is rendered a token contrary female arguing just for the sake of it.

The token apology from her to Shivaay today also rang so hollow as if she doesn't really have any real regrets, why even bother showing her apologize then? Shivaay gets a full heartfelt apology and Anika gets this randomness? What was the point of any of this today? Why make her say "aap sahi the" when the very next second she's totally dismissive of him? Does she respect him? Is she scared of him? Does she simply resent him now? Frankly her love for him is the last thing that seems believable when they render her so two dimensional.

The entire insecurity around Rags is unbelievably stupid especially in light of yesterday's scene. Bhaang ka effect was on Shivaay, not Anika, right? She heard what he said, his apology, his regret for the divorce, and still she's throwing that in his face so callously? For what? Just for the sake of token tadi and ego? I don't mind their tadi games in general when a balance is maintained with poignancy but today was a total washout. And Anika was the only collateral damage as usual since writer sahiba can't think beyond Shivaay.

Kaun hai yeh Annika?

Annika makes mistakes, she gets on our nerves, she plunges into aggressive sacrifices, she can't keep her mouth shut when needed and can't also open it when needed. She is dumb, she talks too much.
She wears tacky clothes which she believe to be highly styled. She is rude and loud mouthed. She is a delusional hypocrite, she blames others for things she otherwise do herself. She has already wore most exposing clothes but badmouths others who do it. She plays a game of having a fake fiance but thinks Ragini is cheapdi while she is doing the same.
Her actions and speech do not converge. She boasts to have self respect but it seems to be joke mostly. She does her own beizzati in her own hands. She doesn't give it back to Shivaay when he is being a jerk.
She hurts and shuns him when he needs her support the most and steps on his heart. She is so blind not to see the love and longing shinning in those beautiful colour changing eyes of the Man she loves hoplessly and was once a stone!!




Annika is a loud, manipulative, tacky emotional fool!!

But she is real. She is flawed. She knows to love. She knows to care. She is strong. She rises from the ashes. She is an inspiration. She is a woman. The one an equally flawed and equally adorable Man wants so pathetically to keep him beating.
I'm happy that Annika is no south indian girl married into punjabhi household and has a f**king solution to every wrong thing under the sun and have never commmited a flaw in the 9650 days of her life.
I'm happy that she is not an overgrown child who has to talk about everything except themselves to her husband once they are within the walls of their bedroom. And is not the only person dancing not so gracefully while others all do fangirl her.

I'm happy for who Annika is with her 100 flaws and 10 virtues. I'm happy for her being, real and terribly flawed!!

Any NBT viewers here? I'm weirdly being reminded of the butchering of Megha's character. They went overboard with making her apathetic to Mohan's plight for some lame twisted reasons while claiming she loves him a lot. lol but technically Megha was way more prejudiced since the beginning of the story only.

Here we have an Anika who has lived through so many situations with Shivaay, claims to love him desperately, is always hanging around him but since the seperation is oddly apathetic to his pain.

Perhaps the only line that rang true in today's epi was "hum hum nahin rahe"...except that Shivaay is more or less back to his usual self. Anika ka I can't make sense perhaps cuz there isn't any there. Lol

So I haven't seen the epi so can't comment on that but I was 90% sure that Shivaay would forget about it and Annika wouldn't repeat the stuff so they would definitely drag it. Regarding the Ragini stuff , I don't find it unnatural or weird that she is insecure. Seeing her previous experiences or more like hearing about it it's natural that she feels like a second option . Personally I feel it is about who is more relatable. While I can totally relate with her insecurities maybe because this is how it is with me. I always felt at the beginning Annika was too good for Shivaay. But now since her not so good features are being showed. I am happy about it. I just hope at least her insecurities are wrapped by the end of this track.
But I do agree on some things you said . Will come to discuss after watching the episode.

They butchered Anika after separation track.. Harneet didn't know how to develop a story and character..

Who would mind a flawed character if it was well written and not tossed around so inconsistently? I didn't know "flawed" is now consider synonymous with stupidity and apathy? lol those are the only "flaws" they have to show in Anika?

And if there are flaws, why are they glorified as virtues by the writers through most of the characters in the show?

Flawed is what Shivaay is and he still manages to rise above his flaws. Anika is just rendered a cliched stupid female whenever it so pleases the female minds behind this show. Lol
