After seeing todays episode , I felt I had to make one post for Sonakshi and one for Dev. Initially , I couldnt relate to Sonakshi's reaction today...especially her silence and fear seeing Dev's decisions and reaction..she looked shocked and scared...and hence made the post ( Did CVs forget to give dialogues to Soankshi : http://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=4878363)
But after some thought process, I felt todays episode was more Dev oriented. We always wanted Dev to be a Man and take decisions . Today for the first time he took decisions...and made very clear what he expects from each of his family members...and when he did this ...all that mattered was his wife and his child first. We knew from day 1 he is an Alpha male...sadly the attributes of his Alpha male character was always shadowed by his moms affection...later when he had to stay away from his love ...his mate...for 7 yrs...he did learn few hard lessons...and then he got her back and this time with their child too...that was the turning point in his life...he had to rise ...get into his core character ...yes as Alpha male and take decisions for his family where in he thought ONLY about protecting , safegaurding and providing for them.
Today we saw the rise of Dev Dixit as a man...and head of the family. He is new at this , he is full rage to such an extant even his mom and wife couldnt understand him. None of the women in the family could break his decision with their tears ...not even his mom...he questioned his wife about her logic of hiding such a big thing from him for a family who destroyed their relationship...?? He couldnt understand how she could forgive when they were kicked out of their own house...and because of which she had left him...and now she was willing to forgive Vicky?? Why couldnt she have done the same with Dev then ?? His question was on spot...he like the head of the family told her what he expects from her...made it very clear that he wants to know even the smallest thing that matters for their relationship so that he can take right decisions for them...because previously her hiding and his blind approach to his mom's demands have brought in problem...now he wants to be in control of his life and his family...I know he is going to be tough on her in the coming days...
She is also equally lost because she has never seen this side of Dev. Dev was always emotionally depended on his mom or her...especially when it came to family...he relied on her for emotional support and decisions wrt to family members...but now things have changed...Vicky's act shook his ground ...was a reality check for him...and he changed ...Isnt this the Dev we all wanted?? The one who would think abt Sonakshi and Soha first ...who would respect his wife's family too...So why are we comparing him with Maya?? He is no where close to Maya...
Sonakshi and Dev will eventually find a balance but its going to be a long rough ride...because ...we are looking at a new Patriarch in town...
