I was having a discussion in one of the threads and we came across discussing how different Advay is from Arnav. I put my few cents out there.
And that was when I was told that there are people who think Advay and Arnav are one and the same. And that its an out and out copy+paste of the entire character.
It goes without saying that I was shocked. And then, the few paagal ladies I've been conversing with came up with the idea of having my view posted as an individual post, so that, we can, for once and for all agree that Advay Advay hain. Aur Arnav Arnav.
And since you know how much I keep bhaking around, here I am with yet another post of mine.
That being said, it must have been clear by now that I am a die hard phanki of Barun and my every post would be screaming my love, adoration, respect and support for him. So people adverse to it..meh, your wish.
Note: I love both Arnav and Advay (which goes without saying) and Haider too. And when I love someone, I love them for all of them. The good, the bad, the fun and fight. Sab kuch qubool hain.
That should explain this thesis.
Advay is a jerk. So is Arnav. Advay has a tragic past. So has Arnav. Both are one and the same.
Er...no.
Arnav is a jerk. He is impulsive. He is hot headed. He is a sadu. And whatever he does in his fit of anger, it is coz he has real temper issues and just blasts like a volcano and half of the damage he is does, or probably, most of the damage he does is the collateral effect and not something he actually intends to. And once his anger simmers down, he is the first person to think back and go an extra mile to reverse the damage or atleast compensate for it, aka, his way of saying that he is sorry. He is an angry guy. Not a dangerous one.
Advay is an das level up waala jerk, when compared to Arnav. He actually, is a kameena. An out and out battameez. He is not impulsive. He is not hot headed either. Yes, he burns with anger, revenge and rage, but he is not volcano. He is more like quick sand. Calm, steady and yet consuming. He knows exactly what he is about to do, calculates, plans, schemes and does everything which makes him more of a kameena waala jerk. And if things threaten to go the wrong way, he still manages to manipulate the situation to his advantage. He is dangerous and unapologetic.
Arnav is a 'stay out of my way and I wouldn't even know who the hell you are' guy. He just doesnt give two f**ks about anyone. The most he probably would do is slap a person and send him to the prison. He's that...angry but fair kinda guy. And yet, that guy is blamed even for things he doesnt do because of the short temper image he has. And since he doesnt give two hoots about what people say, he never tries to bother clearing stuff that he is blamed for - stuff that he dint even have a role in. He doesnt care what people think of him, not even the people who are his or the people he as work to do with or get done. He is what he is. Accept it or get lost. No explanations given, whatsoever, to whomsoever it may be.
Advay is 'try as much as you may to stay out of my path but I will always be aware of where you are' guy. He too wouldn't give two f**ks about anyone. But, he is not this fair kinda guy who would let the khaanoon do its kaam. He'd rather be the police, the judge and the punishment too. And even though he'd be the one pulling the rug from under your feet, he wouldn't have a single finger pointed at him. He leaves no trace behind and is never blamed, not even for the stuff he does. And though he gives no f**ks about what people think of him, he makes sure to manipulate situations were he comes out either clean or heroic. This guy would rather get the person be beaten to death, rather than dirty his hand by slapping them. He is what he is. And you have no choice but to accept and live with it.
Arnav was broken kid living under the high walls he built around himself. He'd rather not face his past and would actually run away from it. Its like, his past is shut and kept away and anyone who dares to try reach it is gonna face his wrath.
Advay is the broken kid that still blazes aflame. His entire existence is based on what has happened to him. He is someone who is hell bent on avenging what he lost. He lives and breathes his past. So this guy, actually drags everyone into his pain and past and anyone who tries to escape it will face his wrath.
Its actually opposite. Of how Arnav and Advay deal with their past and pain.
Arnav actually lives fair. And wouldn't bother until his family or he is disturbed. He wouldn't actually be a jerk unless you butt your head into his business and begin to question him, his way of living and his beliefs.
Advay is a manipulative ass. He wouldn't let you live in peace. He would come ahead, butt his head in your business and make you see him. He would question you, your actions and beliefs. And inturn make you question him.
But if there is one thing I absolutely love about both these people, it is that they are damn honest. Especially to their prey.
They are anything but two-timers.
They are broke, scarred and complicated hot messes. (and I have a thing for complicated people)
Yes, Arnav and Advay are not pole aparts. But they have one hell of a difference between them.
And needless to say, Barun slayed Arnav to perfection. Barun is slaying Advay to beyond perfection.
I rest my case.
But yes, I'd love to hear your views and the differences I've left out (which I am sure must be quite a few).
