So I have been silently stalking this forum for quite some time now but this piece of writing has compelled me to come out of hiding. Everything about this post is love. You have nailed it, my friend!
What IS it about AvNeil? This is a question that I have been asking myself repeatedly. I thought I was done with Indian TV, given its repetitive nature and writers' inability to think beyond the "Family Saga/Mills & Boon" storylines. But then, Naamkarann happened.Just like you said, it's the way the story has been written, alongside the fresh chemistry of the leads and a brilliant supporting crew that has made this show different. I am SO done with shows where the leads are either entirely flawed or entirely perfect, and even more so annoyed with shows that encourage outrageous behaviours (especially that of the male leads), in the name of romance. Naamkarann comes as a breath of fresh air.Neither Neil nor Avni are perfect, and that is why many can relate to them. They admit to their flaws and try to amend them. Neil is #hubbygoals and for good reason. When was the last time we saw a male lead being so supportive? I was scared that the writers would butcher his character just to stretch out the track, but kudos to the creative team of Naamkarann for always keeping us on our toes. And it's not just Neil, Avni is just as strong a character. She is fierce, determined and underneath the layers of toughness, she is a softie that needs love. Like you said, "Someday, someone would hug you so tight that all your broken pieces will stick together once again. And for Avni, that someone is Neil. And for Neil, that someone is Avni. Avni, who though not intentionally, gave him a new purpose in life." But Avni is no damsel in distress. She refused to defend herself repeatedly because why should she? She is a woman of substance and I cannot thank the writers enough for drafting such beautiful characters. The best part about the show is that it is never preachy. The message is clear and the way it is presented is beautiful. No wonder this show is doing well and I wish the team all the best! More power to them!P.S. I am so sorry for the essay! Got carried away, big time. It's been ages since a show/piece of writing has impacted me so much to actually get me to pen down my thoughts.
You have expressed it so well. This show, specifically AvNeil are truly a breath of fresh air, so much so that it has encouraged someone like myself, who gave up on these shows ages ago due to their repetitive nature, to once again enjoy a show thoroughly.
I've been following the show religiously from the leap onwards and it struck the right chords for me from the get go! And that has not happened in a longgg time! 😆As you mentioned, the uniqueness of the show and AvNeil derives from the the fact that everything from the plot to the characterization is so incredibly unique and enjoyable. The show is fast paced yet there is meaningful character development.Special mention to AvNeil for being so incredibly adorable and yet somehow bringing the required intensity and setting the screen on fire with their chemistry! I've never seen Zain or Aditi's previous work but these two are doing an incredible job and have really brought the beautiful bond of AvNeil to life. And thank you to you also for this wonderful post which not only was a great read and an accurate description of this incredible show but also encouraged me to stop lurking on the forum and actually comment. 😆

Great post. I want to write a longer comment but I am at work. Will try and write something later. But just want to say you are spot on! About everything to do with Neil and Avni as individuals and then as a AvNeil.
