He woke up to find the baby sleeping peacefully, he smiled. He wondered what was the connection. Just one day and the baby had entered the zone where only his very own people stayed, within the safe walls of Great Shivaay Singh Oberoi. His eyes moved beyond and saw her sleeping equally peacefully.
The two had drifted to sleep by the baby's sides. His smile grew as he saw how her hand was protectively wrapped around the baby. The entire night the moment the baby moved in sleep it was not just him looking in concern she was at her alert best too. His smile slowly faded. What had happened to them? He got off the bed and walked to her side. He pulled over the quilt over her, as she snuggled in sleep, not moving the hand around the baby. Smiling he went to freshen up.
She woke up, and the first thing she did was see to her sides. She gently ran her hand over the baby's head, leaving a light kiss on the forehead. She looked around the room he was no where to be seen. She made a huge pillow wall around the baby and quickly went into the washroom not liking the idea of leaving the baby alone for a long time.
He entered the room to find her sitting by the baby next to the pillow smiling. She sensed movement and saw him place a tray on the bed's side table.
He indicated towards the baby questioningly. She smiled,"Gehri neend mein hai! " She got up to stand before him. Soon their gazes shifted from the baby to each other once they were convinced the baby slept soundly.
The two dint want to take the eyes of the other. Something was going wrong ever since yesterday. Something was again strongly pulling them close. Her eyes scanned his features as he took a step closer. His eyes toured her face. His hand involuntarily went to touch her hair, as his feet helped him to cut the distance between them.
"Shivaay!" She whispered, not leaving his eyes.
"Hmm..!" He said his voice drugged, his gaze moving with his hands.
She turned slightly as his hand moved to her cheek. "Ye kya...!" Words stumbled out. She could say no more as his gaze bore into hers.
"Kya...?" He asked his finger now moving up her forehead, wiping away the sweat beads.
"Kal..bhi...aur ..abhi...aap...kya..?" She said her eyes trembling under the effect of his intense gaze. Slowly realozation hit her, she was caged between the wall and him and his gaze was everything she wabted to runaway from but something that kept her hookes to the spot. His hand moved to the back of her neck, grazing the skin. Waves of eddy currents were set up every where on her skin.
"Kya Anika?" He took in a ragged breath enjoying her fragrance.
"Ye..?" He added. As he pulled up her palm and kissed it. She trembled.
"Kyun kar rahe hain aap?" She asked still hyperventilating in his hold. He pulled her closer by the waist."Don't you like it?" He whispered huskily in her ear. She clutched his shirt, her eyes meeting his desire filled ones.
She was about to say something, still looking for words when he pulled her closer, his one hand moving up the length of her arm other pulling her waist closer. His face against her hair, taking in her mere presence.
She screwed her eyes shut. The feelings he invoked within her took her into an all new world. She felt him. Her head over his shoulder, his stubble clapping lightly against her cheek occasionally.
"Biwi nahi hoon aapki..!" She finally managed to say.
He smirked, "kal raat yahan saath soyi kyun?" He said close to her ears, purposefully. She shuddered as warm breath tickled her earlobe.
"Main ..wo...main...!" She trembled as his hand moved down her arm now.
"Tum kya Anika?" He smiled, his hand finally reaching her palm. His fingers intertwined with hers.
"Kal aapne mujhe wo...laundry...Rudra..ke saamne...wo...!" She changed the topic trying to break free from the hug but he continued to hold her close.
"Wo..?" He chuckled lightly, moving his face close to the crook of her neck, making his breath fan her skin.
"Shivaay!" She finally managed to pull herself a little apart. Her free hand now tried to create distance between them, whole other remained intertwined with his.
He smiled and in a quick move he grabbed her hand and pushed it behind her back.
He gave her a winning smile, scanning her facial features. His eyes finally settled on her lips as she gasped. He moved his lips closer to hers as her eyes widened.
"Shivaay...jaane dijiye...!" She swayed slightly to get off his strong grip.
"Jaane diya thaa...!" He said his eyes meeting hers. She stopped moving as she saw the hurt rise in his eyes.
"Waapas Kyun Aayi?" He asked looking at his fingers boring onto the groves of her palms.
"Aap...!" She said her eyes not leaving his for a while. He would have diverted his gaze to not let her see, but she saw. He looked back at her, his hold on her relaxing. But she din't move. She stayed like that.
"Main?" He asked.
She nodded.."Aap. !"
He stepped back taking off his hand from her waist, letting go her hand in his slowly. She held on to his finger. His eyebrow cocked up and he looked at her. She was still staring away at his face her eyes shining with moisture. He smiled and then calming his racing heart diverted her attention which was now all on him.
"Baby needs us!" He sat beside the pillow to see the baby who was now awake playing away with air, kicking her legs and clapping her soft petal like hands. The baby now held on to his finger and he grinned at her antics. Anika sat opposite to him and saw the baby as well. She played with the baby as well, saying nothings softly. The baby caught her finger in the other hand and brought their fingers close. The two looked up at each other surprised.
The little angel had indeed played cupid for the two, making both realise that the EHSAAS and JASBAAT they shared were never gone rather much multiplied.
