She was afraid to move further. Her leg was giving up. They restricted her to enter into the room. It was not happening for the first time. She has been visiting this place very often and same thing happened every time repeatedly. Same restlessness, same anxiousness, same longing, same feeling; everything is same even after so many times. While she was going through the avalanche of emotions, she felt him holding her hand like every time. She smiled faintly to him. He has been always there for her even before she had asked for it. He is the only person in front of whom she can afford to be weak because he will never judge her. This is the kind of bond she shares with him. He assured her by pressing her hand and guiding her towards the room. She nodded and walked towards the room. He knew she needed him, to stop her from breaking down. And he will always be there for her, even if she put on the facade that she is strong.

"Good morning Mom. Kaisi hai Aap?" she tried to say cheerfully but heaviness in her voice was evident.

"Dekhiye Mom main aapki favourite flowers layi hoon". she said putting the flowers beside her bed.

"Mom kuch to boliye. Kam se kam dekhiye to meri taraf." she said in her broken voice.

Arjun tightened his grip on her hand, stopping her from breaking down. He nodded his head to stop her from crying. She hugged him tightly. He also wrapped his arms around her. He knew today she was being more emotional because it is her Mom's birthday and one more reason was Sudhir uncle's last night behaviour.

She gathered herself, moved away from him and faced her mother.

"Happy Birthday Mom. I love you." said and kissed her temple.

He too wished her and then they moved towards the exit.

"Tu theek hai?" asked Arjun.

"Hmm"

He knew she was everything but okay. It has been her routine to come here twice in a month to visit her mother. Her mother was suffering from trauma from last 13 years. She was 8 when this all happened.

"Bache nahi dikh rahe Savi? College chale gayen kya?" asked D.K

Savita nodded.

"Badi jaldi?" he said looking at his watch.

"Un logo ko hospital jana tha isliye jaldi nikal gaye". replied Savita

"Achaa. Aru theek thik thi na Savita? " asked D.K.

"Kaise theek ho sakti meri bacchii bataye D.K. Kal bhaisahab ka behaviour aur aaj Amrit ka janamdin. Vaheguru bhi us bacchii ki na jane kitni pariksha lega pata nahi. 13 saal se us bacchii ko tarapte dekha maa aur baap dono ke pyaar ke liye. Maa baap rehte huye bhi dono ke pyaar se anjaan hai Aru. Kya bigaara hai meri bacchii ne kisi ka jo uske saath aisa hua D.K." said Savita trying to control her tears.

D.K got up from his seat and moved towards his wife to console her.

"Savi agar tum hi is tarekey se toot jaugi to Aru ka kya hoga. Uske liye hum dono ko strong hona padega."

"Kaise samhalu apne aap ko D.K. Jab bhi Aru ka udas chehra dekhti hoon to 13 saal pehle ki baat yaad aa jati hai. Sab kuch theek tha. Sab kush the. Kaash wo din aata hi nahi."

Both of them drifted into the thoughts of that unfortunate day. They and Sharma's ( Sudhir Sharma and Amrit Sharma ) along with their respective child had gone to a lake for picnic. Sudhir and D.K was business partner but eventually they became best of friends. Savita and Amrit also shared a beautiful bond. It was Arohi's insistence for picnic. Sudhir was trying to avoid any outing due to Amrit's pregnancy. This child meant a lot to them since Amrit was conceiving after 8 years. Even at the time of Arohi there were few complications. After Arohi she wanted one more child but was not able to conceive. Even after conceiving, she had suffered miscarriage couple a times. Though Sudhir was happy with one child but Amrit was adamant. So when they got the good news, Amrit was more than happy. That's the reason; he was trying to avoid any outing but gave up when her darling daughter tried to blackmail him by not talking to him. And he could not afford that. She was such a drama queen. While Arohi was ecstatic, Arjun didn't want to go to any place where Arohi was present. Arjun didn't like Arohi much. But same was not the case with Arohi. She likes spending time with Arjun, she likes irritating him and that's one of the many reasons of Arjun's dislike towards Arohi. But Arjun couldn't do anything because his parents had decided to go for the picnic. So he has to tag along with them either he wanted or not. It was afternoon. D.K had gone to buy ice-cream on Arohi insistence and Sudhir was on phone with a client. The women were chatting about some stuff and Arohi was doing her favourite thing; irritating Arjun. Though she never does it intentionally but whatever she does ultimately it results in an irritated Arjun. Fed up with Arohi, Arjun lashed upon her and ran from there. Savita saw Arjun running towards their car so she followed him. Not finding Arohi anywhere, a worried Amrit also went in search of Arohi. She saw a crying Arohi moving towards the lake. She called her to stop her but she didn't stop. So she ran towards her to get hold of her. She held her hand before she could go near the water and hugged her tightly in fear of what would have happened if she had not reached on time. She along with Arohi turned around to go but her left feet slipped due to the wet mud near the shore and she fall straight on her stomach hitting her head with the rock nearby. Hearing the scream, Sudhir ran towards the source only to see his wife unconscious and his crying daughter trying to wake her mother. He turned her and saw her bleeding. He picked her up and ran toward the car. Hearing the chaos, D.K and Savita also ran towards the place. They drove to the nearby hospital. The doctor suggested that they need to operate Amrit immediately. Amrit was critical and sudhir didn't understand what he should do to make everything alright. After operating, doctors informed them that they could not save the baby and Amrit was still critical. Still trembling, Sudhir stumbled to the closest bench and plopped down before he fell down. D.K held his shoulder to give him strength. On the other hand Savita was trying to handle a crying Arohi who was continuously calling for her mother and father. She had got fever due to the crying but she was not ready to listen to anyone. Savita informed D.K about it. D.K did not want to bother Sudhir but he knew he had to tell this to Sudhir. As soon as Sudhir got the news, he ran to see his daughter who was now admitted. Seeing her father Arohi began to cry more and spread her arms so that he can hug her. He at once ran to her to embrace her. He didn't know what to tell her to console her. He just hugged her tightly and cried along with her daughter. Suddenly he didn't felt any movement in his daughter. He moved away from her to see what happened to her. Arohi's face was pale and she was senseless. She has passed out. Seeing all this D.K at once ran to call the doctor. Sudhir was numb; his whole world has crumbled down. Few hours ago everything was fine; his family was fine and now he had lost his unborn child, his wife is critical and his daughter is admitted. He could not understand what he should do to make everything alright.

This one sentence of Sudhir deepened the wound of that poor child. Arohi started blaming herself for everything. She again started being aloof. Savita was worried to see Arohi going into that shell again. This frightened her but Arjun helped her in opening up. It was not easy; it took him 1 month to bring back the lively Arohi. Arohi was back but the damage was already done. She started avoiding her father. With time her relation with her father worsens. She came close to D.k and Savita and even closer to Arjun. They became inseparable. What he would do, she would and vice versa. Whatever she needed she would ask from D.K and Savita. Her interaction with her father was almost negligible.

"Bhai Sahab ye theek nahi kar rahe hai D.K. Us anhoni ke liye Arohi ko blame karna sahi nahi hai" said a crying Savita.

D.K didn't understand how to defend his friend in front of his own family. Whatever happened; it should have not happened. He wished he could correct everything.

He looked at her pale face. He hates it when she is sad." Achaa Aru sun na. Let's just bunk today."

"Why? No we are not bunking. Arjun believe me I am fine."

"Mujhe teri chinta thori hai. Yaar wo aaj us moti chasmish teacher ki class hai. I don't want to attend her class. Bahaut pakati hai. Please Aru yaar maanja na. Dekh aaj humare group se koi nahi jar aha hai. Please yaar."

She knew why he was doing all this. Why suddenly Mrs Verma became pakau to him. In fact scenario is totally different. Arjun is Mrs Vermas favourite student but Mrs Vermas doesn't like her. She does leave any stone unturned to insult her. And he cannot see her further upset today.

"Okay."

He turned the car towards Sanchit's house where their friends were waiting for them. Their gang consists of Arjun, Arohi, Sanchit and his twin sister Shefali, Jai and Romit. When they entered into the house they were greeted by Sanchit and Shefali's mother. Their mother hugged Arohi. Arohi was everyone's favourite. This didn't get unnoticed by Sid, Sanchit's cousin. He was shocked to see that Arohi was familiar with every friend of Sanchit. He asked Sanchit's mother about it and she told him that they were Childhood friend and Arjun and arohi are best friends. Sid felt betrayed. He at once went to Sanchit's room to confront Arjun.

"You cheat. You knew her. And Sanchit you also betrayed me." he accused Arjun and Sanchit.

"Look dude. I didn't pick the girl, you chose. It is not my fault that she happened to my best friend. And dude control your anger. Gussa to mujhe hona chahiye. But I am not angry because jane anjane mein hi sahi you helped me to get forgiveness from her. She was angry with me because of my stupidity and was not talking to me and indirectly you helped me for which I am really thankful. So chill"

"You love him. Don't you?" asked Shefali to Arohi looking at Arjun who was busy with the boys.

"Yes I do." replied Arohi confidently.

"But before you say anything, let me make it very clear because I know where it is going. I love him very much but as my best friend, my family member, my companion."

"Maybe you two have not realized yet. You two are inseparable."

"Yes we are inseparable. And I can't imagine a day without him. And I am very sure same is the case with him. But this fact can't change the truth. If being inseparable means you are in love then we should have fallen in love long time ago. We are together for 13 years."

"It is not always necessary to stay together for long time to fall in love, sometimes a moment is enough".

"Maybe. But I don't love him romantically. I have never felt something like that with him."

"Yaar how could you not fall for such a handsome guy? I mean every girl in the college is jealous of you that he cares so much about you, that he never leaves your side, and that he never gives much attention to any other girl not even me other than you. How couldn't someone love a person who cares so much about you."

"I have already told you that I love him. I love him more than everything even my parents. He is the one person who means everything to me."

"And Shefali if caring and being handsome means you should fall for the guy then I think you should have fallen long back for Jai. He is very handsome, he cares for you lot and the most important of all this; he loves you ROMANTICALLY." said Arohi giving extra effort in romantically.

"I guess you're right."replied Shefali

"Oye Oreo. Chal it's getting late." called Arjun.

"Yes I am coming. AND YOU BANDAR STOP CALLING ME WITH THAT STUPID NAME." yelled Arohi.

"Okay OREO."

She could hear him chuckling.
