Ekta's masala version of Chandrakanta - Page 4

Ekta Kapoor herself z a Ruler, she will do what she wants, she will show watever she wants, If TRP is good it will be contd. if not she will stop, but surely do her venture on her own terms... subject, casting , channel, timing all will be according her. Atleast I want Vishal to be part of Colors & Ekta's Balaji. M happy it has happened.

I never thought I will say this. I find Ekta's masala version much more interesting than the NDTV Imagine Chandrakanta. Ekta herself clarified in an interview that the story will be a lot different from the novel. Anyways, two Shows with the same story line would be boring to watch. The lead characters do have a good chemistry. I am also happy to see Urvashi Dolakia after such a long time. She makes an amazing vamp. My only objection is making Kroor Singh and kings daughters look like a bunch of jokers. The actual Kroor Singh in the story is intelligent and cunning. On second thoughts, Ekta can give the female lead a bit more clothes. Madurima looks more like a caberet dancer in her attire.

I started DVRing the show hoping to catch it a little later.

Unfortunately, over the weekened, I was channel surfing and I saw an episode.

OMG!!! Who gave that silly shiny material pants to Veer singh!! And the girly-bob wig with the blue contact lenses on him!!

I thought Ekta (and even Urvashi D) had gone to town saying how this one would have better production values than the Life OK version. From what I saw... it looked like a "Hell No" to better production values.

I have watched a few eps of the Life OK one - and while it has plenty of green-screenery it wasn't as bad as those 5-6 mins of the Color's one that I saw.

And I think the "next episode" preview seemed to suggest a saas-bahu contest between Urvashi's character and Chandra!!😡😡😡 Why does a "Chandrakanta" need to turn into a saas-bahu serial? I think Ekta is missing the point on this one...

I'm going to wait a bit and try again from the DVRed material... But was seriously disappointed by how bad this was.

( I'm not really commenting on the actors negatively. Only their looks for this serial.)
