Must say, the children in Bajirao were way way better and portrayed strong characters keeping the audience hooked till last week. I am not sure the TRP's never reflected that...however we as audience really applaud the facts, acting, direction of Bajirao represented till then.

Now with the grown up characters...Baji looks promising, so is Kashi...but Mastani - I just cant relate to her character...she neither looks brave, courageous, determined what mastani would have been...forget beauty..I don't see her even sidelined at par to a Persian beauty...CV's/directors...don't you feel there is a gap here and earlier corrected will be a healthier option for the series to retain its original quality and the trend it had set with the younger children...Please take actions before its too late and the charm of Bajirao created by the younger cast is lost...I would suggest please replace Mastani...there are better actress around who can better fit this role...sorry being too harsh...

I sort of feel sorry for Megha. The poor girl is being bashed in every platform. I agree she isn't the best choice but they had to go for a seasoned actress. She doesn't have Persian features but so did Deepika Padukone. Not to say DP isn't pretty (she is also my fav 😆) but she is pretty in a girl next door kinda manner. The ideal choice for this role would have been someone like Sanjeeda Sheik. I guess no matter who played Mastani, people would have complained about it coz Mastani as a character is not appealing.
I loved the casting of all characters post leap. Karan is really good as Baji and he seems to have worked for this role. Ishita is absolutely adorable as Kashi, so is Urvashi as Rakhma. My fav however is Saurabh aka Chima 😃 He is nailing it.

My major complain about the leap is Mastani's entry. Its way too soon. They could have waited for a month or two before introducing Mastani. Mastani is much younger to Kashi and at this rate she should have been as old as Anubhai. Just to showcase how great and immortal Bajirao and Mastani's love is, they are trying to show that Baji and Kashi never shared anything beyond a forced marriage which is irking me 😵

Agree ...its definitely irking to quite a lot of them...again coming back to Mastani..i tried my best to give the new girl some more screen time considering that gradually she will develop and groom up to the level expected...kashi has done a fabulous job..she is playing in and out of the character...but mastani fails to deliver that passion..she is so so plain...like just a placeholder...no emotions...nothing...maybe i am expecting it too fast...but yes tthat is...the kids delivered a wonderful job...mastani - is going to be step down for this series...in terms of acting, delivering what the audience expects...

At first even I was not impressed with Megha as Mastani. But later on I realised that she was a good choice.
Actually I feel that both Ishita and Megha were perfect for their characters.

Megha's face has a certain calmness and subtlety. Her beauty is mysterious, alluring and gentle.
On the other hand,Ishita as Kashi is vibrant and mesmerizing. If Kashi is wind then Mastani is water.
So IMO both the actresses are suitable for their respective characters.

The reason why Megha is facing the backlash is because-

1.It's too early for Mastani's entry. The timing is wrong. And I totally agree with that.Mastani shouldn't have entered at this stage. Moreover the CVs are completely ignoring Baji's love for Kashi which is annoying.

2.After watching the movie, people are generally unsympathetic towards Mastani's character and rightfully so because Mastani in the movie came across as a desperate and and somewhat psychotic woman.
Due to this the audience fail to realise that the characterizations in the show is totally different from the characterizations in the movie. So far I find Megha's Mastani to be totally different from DP's Mastani in terms of charactetization. And Megha's Mastani is far better than the one which DP played.

3.After the wrong timing and the antipathy towards Mastani's character,Megha's calibre is questioned because she is not much of a renowned face.Had it been a popular actress with an established fan following then even a poorly written character would have been accepted for some time.

So far I am not finding any problems with Mastani's charactetization or Megha's acting in the show. But both are being judged because of a preconceived notion due to the movie.

The calmness the subtleness...need to be delivered... identified...liked by majority of the audience...the message does not come out very clearly from the current actress...its a plain expression...even when one of her step mother taunted her limitations...the hurt..the feelings need to be conveyed out..need to be expressed to help the audience relate to the character...honestly few instances...i agree time will tell...and hoping there are improvements...but right now...sadly its a harsh opinion..its a harsh feedback...this is to justify the quality output provided by entire cast so far...she need to really gather up to the mark soon...
