Sri Bilva Mangalacharya ( Lila Suka)
A great Krishna devotee Lila Suka in this Stotra described how effective and captivating the three words Govinda,Damodara and Madhava are. In his poems he illustrated different situations where Krishna's ardent devotees called him with those names.
Before the assembled Kurus and Pandavas ,when her hair and garments are siezed by Dussasana Krishnaa,Draupadi devoid of any Lord ,called thus" Govinda, Damodara ,Madhava... Draupadi was staked like an object in the dice game by Yudhishtir.Pandavas lost themselves, their kingdom and Draupadi. When Dussasan dragged her to the Kuru assembly where Pandavas stood helpless and motionless,Draupadi became lordless despite having her lords. Krishnaa folded her hands helplessly and wailed ." He Govind Damodar Madhav...save my dignity. ( To be continued). Lakshmi |
