It is said that celebrations are important, that life should not only be lived it should be celebrated.
But why celebrate?
Because you can and it is good for you, for the more you celebrate your life, the more there is to celebrate.
The spirit of celebration touches and inspires the ordinary person that is most of us to lift above the mundane and enjoy the greater presence of love that connects us, that alleviates the lonely and reassures the despondent.
There are so many excuses for celebrations, the weddings, baby blessings and memorials but also the many other causes we have to celebrate a new home, thanksgiving, forgiveness and reconciliation, graduation, retirement to name but a few.
But today when we have a reason, how can we not celebrate? For it is the birthday of a special person, one who is loved by many and adored by all - none other than Viji.
Viji is a marvel in many ways, a marvel of beauty, love, courage, strength, kindness and calm, a kind and generous person who can brighten up any friend's day, bringing joy to others with her kind and thoughtful ways.
She is a gifted writer who simply loves to write (it shows in everything that she puts her pen to; be it a tiny story, a simple observation, a write up for the AT threads or a comment for a story she has read, her love for writing shows up in every word she pens or rather types out).
But even her marvellous, and universally accepted, gift of writing pales to insignificance in the light of the marvellous person she is, a bright and loving person who never holds back in giving of herself, who is always around to lend a shoulder to cry on (I have frankly, almost abused this privilege😳) or encourage you when you are down and unsure of yourself (there would be many bearing testimony to this fact🤗) and her enthusiasm for your work is almost contagious (I have often commented, at times, I write only to be able to read her take on my works😊).
