Sorry I was gone yesterday. But I'm back!
The episode starts off with the Maha Aarti last minute details beginning. Shikha talks to Chandni and Meghna about Advay, and beating him up for his work the other day. Shikha is a fighter. She wants to fight her Jija-ji. I wonder what the future relationship will look like.
As the ladies pass by, Advay begins his plot. Posters of Chandni in Advay's arms come down from the walls. Shilpa took their photo. Chandni is mortified. The people around her start talking. Gossiping about Chandni. How she's shameless and defamed. I feel like, just like Kajal in the last episode, these people ask the real questions. First she got kidnapped and now this stuff? What's going to happen to her next. Tis the life of a daily soap heroine. Still this moment is heavy on Chandni. People are talking about her rudely.
Side Note: Where does anybody get the time to make several giant wall sized posters in a day? Doesn't this stuff take time? There was heavy editing and stuff. The printing process too.
Chandni, being unable to take the badnaami, runs. Advay bumps into Chandni. He tells her he warned her, more was to come.
Chandni runs onto the road. She can't take it. The painful memories are too much. She falls down. She's on the floor. Very symbolic to her situation as Advay has knocked her down. Chandni breaks into tears. She feels weak, helpless. The girl's destiny is not in her favour. Chandni remembers Dev. Dev tells Chandni if she ever needs help, just remember him and he'll give her his strength to borrow. He gives her strength. Their memories together of being happy and playing together. They empower her. If Advay renders Chandni weak, then Dev empowers her with strength to fight. That is the difference between Dev and Advay to Chandni.
I'd like to note that the visuals had Chandni sitting at a tree. In Ramayan, when Sita is Ravan's prisoner, Sita is in a garden-type prison. Sita sits at a tree, like Chandni is right now. Sita sat there day and night, rarely moving if ever. This is symbolic to Chandni because she is currently prisoner to Advay's ploy.
Back at the Mandir, Indrani was notified of what happened. She worries. The auspicious time for the Maha Aarti is running out.
The scene moves to Veer. He is having breakfast as his mom cooks. Veer tries to talk about the Maha Aarti, but his mom cuts him off at 'Aarti'. His mom accuses him of finding another girl, indicating that Veer is a flirt. Veer is a dramebaaz. He asks his mother for 1 lakh for his new video. When his mother refuses, Veer resorts to killing himself. (So extra.. Veer, stay gold) Veer stabs himself and his mother panics. She begins laying down money for him and asking him to survive. Veer reveals that it was a prank and he starts getting the chappal from mom. They are recording. Ma is upset that he played a joke on her and said that if Veer really did die, she would die too. Veer apologizes sincerely holding his ears. This is such a lovely moment. I hope Advay meets Veer and his mom, especially after the reveal. Also, Veer is likely a YouTuber.
Back at the Mandir, the auspicious time is running out. Chandni is not there. Advay celebrates his victory. However at the right time, Chandni walks in. She carries Dev's Strength in her. Every step shows courage. There is no fear. Advay is shocked. The Vashishts are relieved. The Maha Aarti happens in front of Advay, he is helpless to stop it. The Maha Aarti ends, Advay loses. Advay is going to leave when Chandni stops him.
Chandni walks to Advay. She tells him that it's a bad omen to leave without blessings. She puts her thaal in front of him to take the blessings. Advay puts his hand right above the fire. His hand doesn't move. Chandni notices this. In fact everyone notices this. When Chandni asks, Advay tells her that a fire can't burn another fire. Chandni is confused. She can't see the flames of revenge that surround Advay like we can. Chandni can't see that Advay is already burning himself in the desire of revenge.
Advay underestimated Chandni. He thought she was a glass doll, but he forgot that she was actually just a stone. Advay does not realize he cannot break what is already broken. He can only make Chandni stronger. And this true in the biggest sense that he tried to break Chandni and almost succeeded but. Chandni found the courage to stand. This is because Chandni is not weak. Their is strength is standing up after every hardship. Advay is only going to make Chandni stronger in the end.
The episode was really good. I like that Advay lost. This gives me hope. I guess Plan B is now to pataofy your future wife's gharwalo. I hope Chandni doesn't fall for this trap because she has seen the ugly side to Advay. Also, that wink. Barun has a cute wink in the precap. I feel like always laugh a little when the ML has to wink.
