Disgusting. I hate those films where hero kisses heroine to stop her from talking. These morons should be jailed. I don't know why teenage girls get so horny when they see hero forcing himself on heroine.

Ah no, it's the teenage boys who get horny. Most of these one-sided scenes are filmed from the male perspective to satiate the male audiences 🤢

This notion is so wrong that only boys enjoy it. Take a look at the TV shows in which the man is always aggressively pinning & pushing the girl against wall and feeling her up. 90% fans are women or young girls. Women , well most of them have this very disturbing penchant for manly, macho men, especially the sort we view on screen. And it doesn't help that sexual harassment is romanticized by movies and shows.

You are right. I don't watch these TV shows now but from what I've seen, these aggressive scenes are off-set by romantic music, intense eye gaze between the two and the idea that behind the hate, there's is attraction the hero doesn't want to admit. It's become so idealised that women viewers's brains are now wired to see the pinning and pushing as romantic playfights. Remove the romantic music, put a Shakti Kapoor-type looking dude instead of a hunky man and they'd realise how disturbing and scary these creepy characters are.

Since people are discussing aggressive brooding TV heroes, let me just spell it out over here...

Rape/submission fantasies are a real thing for a very large percentage of women. And most TV serials are a way for those women to see their fantasies unfold onscreen.

Yeah... such scenes are problematic..but I understand why they have an audience.

exactly this. rape works as a fantasy for most women so they're showing just that but other thing is if a woman is attracted to a man then what he does is attractive even if it looks out of line but if the same thing someone like shakti kapoor does then she is creeped out, same action different result 😆
