I love Pritam too, but Anu Malik produced some mindblowing evergreen albums where do I even begin ❤️ He's one of my most favorite music composers.

Sorry iambest, but I really don't care about him copying as long as songs sounds good :p ..I absolutely love his career, each and every album til YJHD, after that, some songs here and there..I kinda agree on how 'popular' singers are being given more chances.

...about Shaan, YESSS!! ~ I feel he's very underrated and didn't get as many chances to playback as much as he deserves :(

Anu Malik is evergreen because yes, singers sound flawless and his music was brilliant although some songs here and there were...ridiculous 😆.

First of all, Anu Malik is the bigger "copier" - he is WELL KNOWN for "borrowing" tunes over and over and over again.

Secondly, BLAME THE PRODUCERS for the choice of singers, they not only have the final say, but often change the composer's choice in favour of a more popular vocalist. Also in Anu's era things were MUCH DIFFERENT in terms of music. Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan, Sonu Nigam sang about 80% of ALL male parts. These days there are many many more singers out there, hence more to choose from.

Lastly, I voted for Pritam, becase ADHM. That album is everything. The melodies, the diversity, the intricacies, the epic title track, the gut-wrenching Channa Mereya, the soaring Bulleya. Anu has also produced BRILLIANT soundtracks: Fiza, Refugee, Virasat, Asoka. I even LOVE his Poppy stuff like Judwaa, Ishq, Lajja. He was versatile and a genius too. But I voted for Pritam.
