new shivika story :) CH02 updated 29.07

"Hello"

"Is it Mrs. Mallika Siddharth Vikram Rana speaking?" asks the caller.

"Yes I am Mrs. Mallika Siddharth Vikram Rana" she replies.

"Congratulations Mam you have got contract with Aneeqa Fashion House..."

"Really" Mallika squeals in happiness not believing the news. This was her dream to work with Aneeqa Fashion House and now she got a chance to work with them. It was like a dream come true for her.

"Yes Mam, confirmation letter and other documents has been sent to you by email. You got contract to work with Fashion House for its branches in India for one year. You are the official interior designer of fashion house in India for one year and you can join within five days."

"Thank you mam Thank you very much"

"You're welcome" and then call was cut. Mallika just closed her eyes and jumped with excitement forgetting everything else around her.

Siddharth, Vikram and Ketki were sitting in hall when call came. They were watching her expressions which were changing every moment. They exchange glances with each other when they saw her jumping with excitement, Siddharth stands up from there and comes near her.

"Mallika..." he calls her but she doesn't respond.

He again calls her but again same.

He shakes her and asks

"Mallika what happened?"

"Sid" she opens her eyes and hugs him tightly.

"Mallika is everything ok ?" asks a concerned Ketki.

"Yes Mom... everything is ok in fact more than ok. I am super happy today" she comes and hugs Ketki from behind who was sitting on sofa reading some magazines.

"Kyun aisa kya ho gaya?" she asks amused.

"My dream came true. I got a chance to work with Aneeqa Fashion house, with the woman who is my role model, about whom I have always read in newspapers, magazines and listened about her from people, I am going to work with her. I am going to work with Mrs. Avantika" says Mallika, her tone wavering with different emotions.

"Really you are going to work with Mrs. Avantika. Congratulations Mallika. This is one of the biggest opportunity for your carrier" Ketki wished her. Ketki and Mallika share a warm relationship now. There are some differences even now but both of them are trying to get over them.

"Thank you Mom..."

"Congratulations Mallika" wished Vikram to her, happy at the success of her daughter in law.

"Bhaiyaa everything is ok?? Take care of decorations. I don't need any complaint" says Anika to a worker, checking the decorations of upcoming engagement.

"Ji Madam ji you will not get any complaint." He replies to her with a smile.

"Theek Hain" she nods at him and he starts doing his work which he was doing.

"Soon to be ex-Mrs. SSO oh sorry only Miss Anika I need everything perfect for my engagement" says Ragini who was standing there with her hands folded on her chest. Anika turns towards her side and let out a sigh.

"Yes it will be... Now please excuse me" and Anika lefts from there.

Ragini grits her teeth's at this insult given by Anika. 'How dare she go like this? How dare she?' she thought in her mind and was going to throw a flower vase kept on nearby table when Pinky comes there.

"Ragini tu yeh dresses dekh kaisi hain... Agar ye pasand nahi hain toh fir mein dusri dekhti hoon..." asks Pinky lovingly to her.

"Ji Aunty" Ragini fakes a smile at her and start seeing the dresses.

"No I didn't like these dresses. I want something new, something different from everyone else... wait I have seen some designs of Anneqa Fashion House and I just loved them. I want to wear something from that Fashion House. I tried but they said they cannot make any dress for me within three days. It will take nearly twenty months if I order now to get dress... I love that fashion house and their designs. Their every design is spell bounding, amazing. See these pics" Ragini forwards her tab to Pinky to watch the design.

"Oh My Mata itni beautifulls... Ragini bas ab toh tu yahi dress pehengi" says Pinky looking at the designs on the tab.

"Par mein ye dress nahin pehen sakti. Mera sapna tha ki main apni sagai aur shaadi ki har ek rasam mein iss fashion house ki dresses pehenoon par mujhe lagta hain ki ye sapna sapna hi reh jayega..." she says with a sad face. She knew if she throws some tantrums then Pinky will do as she wants and may be Oberoi Name will help her in getting the dresses.

"Nahin meri bahu ka koi bhi sapna sapna nahin rahega. Uska har ek sapna poor hoga. Tu ruk main abhi Shivaay ya phir jethani ji se baat karti hoon"

Everyone was coming down for lunch.

"Jethani Ji aap Aneeqa Fashion House ko jaanti hain?" she asks Jahanvi who was going towards dinning table.

"Usse kon nahin jaanta Pinky. That brand is world famous "Jhanvi replies to her while coming towards dining table, with a frown on her face clearly showing her disinterest in Pinky.

"Toh aapne bataya kyun nahin" she asks her again.

"Matlab..." Jhanvi asked confused.

"Matlab aapko pehle batana chahiye tha na. Ragini ko uss fashion house ki dresses bahut pasand hain vo engagement and shaadi ke functions mein unhe hi pehenna chahti hain.."Pinky says but stops in middle as Jhanvi interrupts her

"It's next to impossible now Pinky" Jhanvi replies while settling down on her chair.

"Why's Jethani ji?" asks Pinky coming there and sitting at her chair.

Now everyone was on dining table except ShivOmRu, Gauri, Bhavya and Dadi. Gauri and Bhavya too comes after sometime and after them Dadi comes.

"Everyone needs to get an appointment before meeting with any of designers of who are working there and then appointments dates will be given if you want something of your choice or else you can choose the already designed outfits who are in their outlets. If Ragini wants to wear something designed by them then she has to go to Paris..."

"But we are Oberoi's we can do anything" replies Pinky.

"So what?? Do anything but you are not going to get any appointment or any specially designed outlet for Ragini now whether you are Oberoi or anything else" Jhanvi says sarcastically.

"It's okay aunty. I cannot go to Paris now. I will wear something from any designer of here" says Ragini after seeing the way Jhanvi was speaking. She knew Jhanvi don't like her.

"You better do it Ragini... because sometimes you cannot get the things which you want no matter what be it anything" replies Jhanvi while munching her breakfast.

Ragini was going to reply when she saw Shivaay coming. She wears a smile and replies

"It's Okay Pinky Aunty. I am happy because I am getting engaged to Shivaay and I am going to get a family like this & It's ok Jhanvi Aunty. I will go and will finalize dress for Engagement."

"Par Ragini..."

"It's Okay Aunty" says Ragini and starts eating her lunch.

Shivaay who came there for lunch stood at his place after hearing the word 'engagement' he stops and then starts to move and came near breakfast table. He sits down on his seat and start eating his lunch.

Dadi asks about OmRu.

"Mummy Ji they have already done their lunch" Jhanvi replies to her.

"Par aise kaise bina family ke..." asks dadi ,disheartened.

"It's okay Mummy Ji. They will be here if their whole family was here but there is nothing like that and Om was having some work so he have to leave and Rudra also finished his lunch with him and A... "and Jhanvi stops not want to mention her name.

Shivaay was not looking at any one of them. He knew OmRu don't like Ragini and they don't want her to be here in their house and especially in his life. They are making themselves away from everyone else. Today they even did not did lunch with family. Even now they love Ani... that girl who broke him and even now she is in his house. Living here, with him and his family. It is court order for them to stay together for three months if they want to get divorced and after three months she was back again in his life. He wants to hate her but cannot do and now both of them are living in same room but he wakes up before her and comes home late when she is asleep. He loves her even now but what she has done with his brothers is something he is not able to forget. He knew she was never like this. He knew she was in some pressure; she was not herself at that day. He can forget his insults by her but not what she said about his brothers.

One thing he couldn't get even now is how were OmRu not effected by her insults?? Even if Om doesn't care about naam, khoon, khandan.. Shouldn't he be hurt by the truth?? The Om that always took pride in being Badi maa's son didn't even cry once after all that??!!! That doesn't make sense..

Something is not right

Since Om woke up from coma, Shivaay wanted to talk to him about this... But he was afraid to stress him and that might have a backlash on his health so he waited...

But today, he'll talk to him for sure and will...

He came out of his thoughts when he heard someone asking him about something. It was Ragini and she was asking him to accompany her and help her in choosing her engagement dress which he didn't listen.

"What were you saying Ragini?? I was thinking about something... ok left that tell me what you were saying? "he asks her.

"Shivaay I want you to accompany me to designer and help me in choosing my engagement dress" Ragini again says. Pinky smiles...

"Ragini Today it's not possible. There is party in evening and all of us have to attend that and I am having two important meetings also so I cannot come with you. You can go and select dress by yourself. I am sure whatever you will choose will be best." He says with a smile and Ragini also smiles.

"It's okay Shivaay. I will go and choose the dress." She replies while Pinky's smile fade away.

Shivaay nods and lefts from there.

Even he doesn't like Ragini but she is not like Anika. He doesn't want to get engaged with Ragini, he is not able to forget the moments with Anika when he engaged with her. Even today after everything all of their moments are still afresh in his mind like it happened yesterday. How he made her wear ring on their engagement... How she blushed when he made her wear kangan...

He was lost in his thoughts and a smile was on his lips reviving his past memories when he bangs in Tej.

"Sorry Bade Papa vo mera dhyan nahin tha..." Shivaay says making himself steady.

"It's ok Shivaay. Is everything fine??" Tej asks him.

"Ye.. Yes Bade Papa. Everything is fine completely fine."

"Hope so and I was here to ask you about the party organized by AFH ... Is Ragini going to be there or Annika. I mean...?" and Tej trials off.

"I don't know Bade Papa. If I am not wrong Ragini is going to be there and about Anika I will ask her and will inform you" he says and then left from there to his room.

Annika was sitting by the pool side...looking at the calming blue ... as it was the only thing that could sooth her heart after those three months... It reminds her of the Azur blue orbes of Shivaay...not any shivaay but "Her Shivaay"

Those Orbs had all the soothing in the world..all the warm & all the lov--

How much she graved to see his eyes after the 3 months ... She wanted them to sooth her heart...only they had the power to insure her that everything is alright even now except one person.

They aren't warm anymore ... They are cold as ice ... a cold chill that made anyone shiver the moment they looked deeply into them ... They are "dead"

"Is this the Real Annika? Or Is the girl that lived with me all those months was?"

His voice echoed in her ears while her brain played that awful day 3 months ago ... She shut her eyes tight...not allowing those tears that are stinging her eyes to fall..

"No ... What I did was right... I did it for him...If I didn't do that then he would have never let me go ... I did the right thing ...right???"

That turmoil has been eating her from the inside since the day she was forced back into his life by the judge ... She was so sure that her decision was right till she saw him...then all her confidence & all her reasons where questioned the moment hi eyes pierced into her ... that chilling coldness has made her heart snap out of it's numbness ... Her heart started questioning her ... & most importunately her love ...

Her heart would keep torturing her till she would come & look at the water in the pool ... The calm blue reminded her heart of his eyes and that stopped it from questioning her for a little while.

His eyes were red shot & shining with unshed tears...

But instead, she felt a tight grip around her wrist ..She opened her eyes & saw his reflection holding her hand tightly

'He's here'

"What do you think you are doing?"

Annika looked at him like he was a ghost ...

"He's worried about me?"

"What the hell was she thinking leaning this close to the pool?" thought Shivaay.

"What difference would it make to you if I fell or not?"

"It doesn't ... If you're that eager to fall in water then do that elsewhere not in MY POOL & NOT IN MY ROOM" Shivaay said coldly without flinching.

She felt as if a hand reached inside her chest and squeezed her heart roughly .. she almost collapsed from the pain ... but her ego wouldn't allow it ...

She did all of this for him didn't she?? She sacrificed her love for what he holds precious the most in the world.. His Naam,Khoon,Khandan .. So no ... She's not going to back down.

"What do you want Shivaay? I'm sure you're not here to check on me"

Annika asked sarcastically in a voice full of bitterness

"Of course I'm not ... Tonight there's a party held as Mallika is appointed the new designer of a famous fashion house & since she invited us personally, I want you ..."

"What?? You want me to accompany you?? You have probably forgotten Shivaay Why I came back in the first place. I have no interest in playing wifey with you whenever you feel like it" Shivaay's eyes flinched and a wave of pain flashed through his eyes before it turned cold ... Icy cold.

Annika's heart ached punishing her for hurting him.

"Great ... At least we still agree on something ...I was just about to suggest the same thing If you would have let me finish" Shivaay said coldly with a smirk...One brow raised .

"Since Mallika invited us personally, I want you to call her & make up some excuse for not being able to show up .. You know how much stubborn she is...So make your lie convincing enough...I'm sure you wouldn't have a problem with that as you seem to be an expert in that department" Shivaay says & walked out leaving behind a flow of tears that ran down Annika's face ... while her heart screamed at her with a lot of anguish.

"You shouldn't have done that Annika"

Since she came back ... This is how every meeting of them went ... They start it with cold war of words & always end it hurting each other to tears ...& yet those moments of painful meetings were like ice cubes that are applied to a burn wound

They don't heal the wound...But they make the pain numb for a while...

In the evening everyone left except Anika. OmRu didn't want to go but Anika made them get ready and they too left unwillingly. Shivaay came after everyone left and get ready but all the time he didn't even look once at her. She tried but nothing. He was unaffected and this made her believe that she has lost everything between them and he left after getting ready and talking with Ragini and asking her to join him in the party. Now she was alone in the mansion. She was in their room, reminiscing their memories... She has lost hope in this relation...

In The Party

'This party is organized to announce that famous interior designer Mallika Siddharth Rana is going to be the official interior designer for the fashion house for its branches in India. She will be working with AFH for one year period. Congratulations to her'

Oberois enters the venue. They meet some business families. Mallika is not there till now. Oberois meets Rana's and changes pleasantries. And then both families take their places.

After sometime Mallika enters and everyone congratulates her. After meeting everyone she comes to her table and finds Oberoi's with her family. OmRu hugs her and wishes her for her success. Jhanvi too hugs her. She goes towards Shivaay and hugs him tightly. Shivaay congratulates her for her success and so does everyone else. Pinky was not happy, Mallika doesn't like it but doesn't say anything and then Shivaay and Mallika start talking. Ragini was burning and feeling insulted, as a time pass because Shivaay was not paying any attention to her. OmRu and Shivaay were talking with Mallika, while Jhanvi Tej and Shakti were talking with Vikram and Ketki. Only Pinky and Ragini are left...

"Please welcome Mrs. Avantika" said the host and everyone stand up from their seats and turn towards the entrance

Avantika meets Mallika and congratulates her.

"Congratulations Mallika" wishes Avantika to Mallika, hugging her.

"Thank you Mam"

"Mam you are my role model... and It is the biggest opportunity of my life, working with you, It is just that my biggest dream came true" says Mallika somewhat nervously. Avantika just smiles and pats her on head. She then meets Vikram, Ketki and Siddharth and Oberoi's. Tej greets her

"Hello Mrs. Avantika"

"Hello Mr. Oberoi"

"Avantika ji humne aapke bare mein itna kuchh suna hua hain... aap toh usse bhi kahin jayada mera matlab app toh... bahut hi amazings hain" says Pinky.

"Ji??" asks a confused Avantika.

"She is saying that you are looking absolutely amazing and you have achieved so much..."says Jhanvi

"Oh thank you" replies Avantika.

And today that lady is standing in front of him, with his family, laughing over something Rudra said. Her laugh is same infectious as Ani... He shakes his head on his thoughts and comes towards them. Mallika notices him and calls him

"Hey Shivaay come here" Mallika calls him. Shivaay goes towards her

"Meet Avantika Mam" says Mallika, introducing him to her.

"Hii Shivaay. How are you?" Her voice is soothing for him, giving him a different protective feeling.

"Hii Mam. I am fine "he wishes back.

Rudra says something and all of them laughed at that and Avantika put her palm on her mouth in the same way as Anika does.

"Her laugh is same as Ani..' What are you thinking Shivaay?' he chides himself.

At that moment Dadi and everyone else joins them. Ragini greets her and praises her and in response Avantika just smiles.

Pinky introduces Ragini as future Mrs. Shivaay Singh Oberoi and everyone's face expression change with this but they maintained their posture in party.

"May be she should not have asked that?' she

"I am sorry...I should not have asked about this" she says in an apologetic tone

"No Mrs. Avantika it's okay. Shivaay is... "says Jhanvi when Pinky stops her.

"He is going to get engage with Ragini soon. He is divorced. His first wife is just not of our standard... "replies Pinky trying to be normal with a forced smile. And this line hurts Avantika and she wishes Ragini and Shivaay making Pinky stop.

"Oh congratulations Shivaay and Ragini. May God bless you both." She wishes them and Ragini smiles in response and clutches on Shivaay's hand. He looks up and also smiles.

"Ragini famous industrialist Mr. Malhotra ki beti hain aur Samar Jeet Malhotra ki behen hain.. Bahut hi soni kudi hain. Main toh bahut khush hoon mujhe Ragini jaisi acche naam khoon khandan wali bahu mil rahin hain varna aajkal ki ladkiyan toh bas puchho hi mat" It was getting enough for Avantika to listen

"Mrs. Oberoi congratulations to you for getting Ragini as your Daughter in Law aur rahin naam khoon khandan ki baat ye maayne nahin rakhati hain aur na hi rakhni chahiye. Insaan bada hota hain naam khoon khandan nahin... aur aajkal ki ladkiyan.. what do you want to say?

Aur taali hamesha ek haath se nahi bajti mujhe yakin nahin hota ki khud ek aurat hokar aap kisi aur ke bare mein kaise bol sakti hain...

Shivaay remembers Annika helping him in exposing Tia...Anika taking care of dadi and OmRu.

"Was she a bad wife? Did she not stand by shivaay when ever he needed her"

Shivaay remembers Annika trusting him that he's not Tia's baby's father while no one else other than OmRu and Anika did..

"Didn't she take care of him?"

Shivaay remembers Annika worrying about him when he misses a meal or doesn't take his medicines.

"Judging others based on status in society without looking at their actions is the only thing that people who didn't have to prove themselves in life think about...people who have lived their lives doing nothing except looking at what others have without looking at the effort the others have put till they got it "

Pinky's face turned red with anger and embarrassment...This is the first time anyone talked about this matter to her without sugar coating it...The truth was bitter & what made it worse than no one in the family stood by her...

"Aur kis standard ki baat kar rahin hain aap????" she is completely loosing it when Jhanvi interrupts in between

"I am sorry Mrs. Avantika but just things didn't happen in a way in which we want. Sometimes people just want to live in bubble not able to face the truth and I am sure same thing is going on here... and about divorce, if two people are meant to be together than no one can come in between them and they will be together no matter what." completes Jhanvi looking at Pinky.

"Mrs. Avantika, I have already sent invitation to you. Please grace the occasion with you presence. We will be happy to have you as guest" Tej invites her for the engagement.

"I am sorry Mr. Oberoi but I just cannot..." Avantika denies the invitation when Dadi asks her

"Puttar Please ye function attend kar na. Tujhe ye engagement attend karni hi hogi. Agar tum iss sagai mein aaogi na toh mujhe bahut khushi hogi" says Dadi

"Par aunty ji"

"Puttar mere liye"

"I will try my best to attend the party if I don't have any previous commitment"

"Thank you puttar" smiles Dadi and put a hand on her head. Avantika smiles when host of the party comes and asks her to meet some other families.

She leaves from their after saying goodbye to them.

While all Oberoi's looks at Pinky with disgust and they too leaves from there leaving Pinky and Ragini alone. Shivaay also leaves from there.

Soon party ends and everyone returns back to their homes.

Avantika enters her hotel room but she is restless. Pinky's talks were going round and round in her mind...
