Back to the story, yes Om is sorry she lost the baby, his baby - he has that much compassion and empathy but not because he loves her and this was "their" baby. Its probably why Gauri could not grieve with Om. I 100% agree with you, girls need to save themselves and sometimes the prince, his horse and side kick too lol. People treat you the way you allow them too - Gauri walking away saved the Bareilly Gauri from being destroyed and also showed the Oberois and her that enough is enough.

I am not sure where to from here Faye Di. I love to read but have little creativity lol. Perhaps... the story could jump a two or three years, Shivaay's PI looked for Ms GKS everywhere and found her back story in Bareilly (trite I know, sigh)? Gauri doesnt need to be rich or famous (too cliched) but maybe a village Businesswomen employing other women (upliftment? & finding purpose) supplying high quality fabrics and clothing (a nod to her Bareilly store owner days) - something artsy that would eventually have her cross paths with Om? I have no idea :(.

I know, we all want to hit him but we also want to scream at Gauri! What kind of people are we?!

Exactly, devotion and the stability that Gauri brings is what is needed by Omkara. I just hope he realises it in time and saves both of them.

That is what I wanted to write about in this story. It was their baby but no they couldn't grieve together because there is a wall between them that none of them are willing to scale. Gauri is tired of trying to explain while Omkara just wants to forget everything.

Aah, something like WHT? Maybe I'll try another OS but can't promise anything. Thank you for the hug and feedback!

@ BOLD... WORD 👏... you laid it so beautifully there ... I can relate so immensely with you ... Because in order to write what moves you, you will have to visit the pain...the fear... the weaknesses...the nightmares and demons. A writer moves the reader when she / he writes about something that moved her / him. Your angst is so beautifully and befittingly veiled in this piece here.

Well you didn't make me sad, you made me feel there for Omkara and Gauri... they were the closest humane portrayal of the characters. Not all stories have a happy ending, but each one of them has something that you take from. Being the hopeless hoper (I know there isn't such a term- 😆)... I take with me the hope for Gauri and Omkara.

I haven't been around at IF for quite a while now... MIA ... hibernating... But a certain someone named Omkara had me rise from my slumber ...and the rest is ... Rikara

And before I leave, I will surely read your works... looks like you have dished out something today too... *run off to read Faye's WORDS *

All that you said!!! Omkara is right, jab dard hadd se zyaada ho jaata hai tab hi vo kabhi tasveer ya kabhi lafz ban kar chalak padta hai.

I'm glad you liked this. I've written 1-2 other angsty stories about them. The best part about reading something is what you take away from it and I'm glad this story offered you hope. it's the hardest thing to find, imo.

Oh the Omkara magic! I'm the living proof of it. This is my second desiTV show after ipkknd! I hate the clich things that every show seems to run on so I tend to avoid them but Omkara! That dude will be the death of me! He even made me join IF, something not even ipkknd couldn't do!
