Actress Rekha has been controversies favourite child and she has often grabbed headlines with her sensational statements. Be it her quotes on casting couch or her equation with Vinod Mehra's mother or her rumoured affair with megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
Her bold replies always landed her in trouble. In our Flashback Friday section, we got our hands on a few of her sensational interview quotes that blew everyone's mind.
In an interview with a magazine in 1978 when Rekha was asked about Amitabh Bachchan and her pairing with him, she had said, "Amit ji is in a class by himself and that is one thing I like about him. He never gossips, unlike others. And I am not the type who will let others advise me in my affairs. I follow my own mind and judgment."
In another interview with the same magazine in 1997, Rekha had admitted to the fact that her pairing with Big B was undoubtedly one of the best. One of her quotes in the interview kept the audience and the fans intrigued over the biggest question of all times - Will Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha ever collaborate on the big screen again?
She had stated, "The audience will never tear Rekha and Amitabh Bachchan apart in their memory. They hope that we'll be back on the screen again. Who knows... it could be the headlines of tomorrow's papers."
When the eternal diva was quizzed about her marital status back in 1988, Rekha had admitted, "Very soon I will marry the best possible man. I have the ability to make my fantasies come true."
