i dont understand why in every song today they need to put effects on voice ,,,hans mat pagli recent sonu song sonu sound like today singers his voice without any effect sound so cool what is the need to put softwares and effects on every damn song these days ...this happened to him with his raees halka halka hai tera nasha song too ,,,,

these are songs when their wasn't any effect/software used on vocals ...simple sound simple vocals made these songs immortal melodies

in today time even yesterday greats like sonu nigam dont sound like sonu nigam ...or udit narayan sounded bad in recreation of cheez bari hai mast mast because of unnecessary software effects on vocals...there is something wrong with the recording these days i guess ...vocal sound like artificial software modulated voices

nostalgia is something else ...i love that era music thats different thing but today songs does sound software modulated vocals dont sound as pure as earlier decade music on level of vocals only ...its not about today singers i am including sonu nigam new songs too ...be it this akshey kumar new song of sonu , or halka halka tera nasha from raees or tu hi na jane haal mera from azhar...i am sure someone on the forum could relate to what i am trying to explain ...there is a difference between smooth real vocals of 90 or 2000 and songs that are created these days ...i always get the software effects vibe while listening very current songs ,,,,,

IKR! Hearing a voice that is raw and untampered by any software has a beautiful feel to it.. voices are beautiful by themselves!!

I'll post a Malayalam song here which has only vocals, not even accompanied by instruments... but the musical effect our human voices are capable of is simply surreal. 😃

Don't think it's the software or the technology that's ruining these songs. It's the lack of originality. I have no issues with 'Has mat pagli' with the singer or the voice. It's the beats of the song at the start that is the problem. Some of the words are missing a couple of beats. Completely the music directors fault. About sonus voice - he has been known to experiment with his voice a lot. Maybe he feels husky is in and that's why he is modulating his voice. No idea. He isn't exactly sounding bad.. just different. He is definitely sounding much better than most singers today. Also another thing.. he isn't 20 anymore. His voice is bound to change and become more heavy as he grows. Happens with everyone. Honestly speaking I have no issues with the voice.. the beats of the song are another matter altogether
