TSMSPJ*ep.74*27.6.17: My Impression* Pleasing Antidote
In life one looks for remedies, that combat mental, physical and emotional infirmities. The balm and healing is relative to one's individual choice. In the story line presently, we find Kanak seeks a cure for the smart, which she and her family receives at the hand of her husband Uma Shankar. Kanak's antidote to the poison he has injected in her Bhabo's life ,is to assume the doubt act of duplicity . One fake, put on compliant face for his family, and the other pleasing resistant antidote one for Uma Shankar, all to get Bhabo's shop back from him..
Where the acquiescent Sita performs to get her way. Although Uma appears in a stronger position, now that he has cracked the Sita Gita conundrum. He knows the secret of his wife's antidote. Kanak's giddy mad plots and schemes turn out to be, without any far reaching logical conclusions yet. But just when one thinks her act is over. Sita sedately continues, and by her mannerisms, both dupes and wins Maasi s heart by following her Ramji like Sita did, for his outdoor camping dispensary. Kanak just off loads Gabbasa! Uma now see through her guile. Ponders with renewed interest, wonder what new trick she has up her sleeve? But it's not up her sleeve! The trick lies hidden in her silken pouch bag! The antidote to tame Uma's high spirts! Uma, though is anxious. As now, apart from Kanak, he is the only one who knows there is other side to Kanak too.. the self willed, rebellious Gita! Deep down even the staid Uma Shankar cannot foretell the depths and span of Gita's connivance! In a way seems like the sage is being drawn into the beauty's wild turns willingly without being in high spirits! Her healing will be getting the truth out of Uma.
Part of Kanak's antidote to fight off Uma is to stir changes in Payal. Prejudice is waged against her in Uma's house. Sadly Payal chooses to close her eyes to them, for the sake of her parental honour. The scene where she is stopped by Maasi from distributing charitable items at the temple due being a woman without a seen husband! is seen as negative categorization by Kanak. Maasi actually draws a differentiation between Kanak and Payal, when she literally grabs the bag from Payal and gives it to Kanak who was going out with her husband. Is Maasi also subtly trying to create a divide between the two daughter in laws?
For Payal this emotionally gruelling incident is a good remedy for the festering wound of waiting for her husband. The isolation forces her to dwell on Kanak's words of the folly of being married to the photograph of a man, who chose to desert her after marriage. The time is ripe ,Kanak senses Payal's hurt and yet again confronts Payal ,this time with a plan..money and the number of her friends brother! Police officer Ved Rathi! Does Payal suspect anything? Kanak is assertive in her words to Kanak! persuades Payal not to let go of this opportunity to free herself from captivity! live a life free from fear and compulsions! question is will Payal take the plunge? She lacks Kanak's drive of risk taking!
Meenakshi , too seeks a pleasing antidote, to support her obese son Golu in his first date!the mother's cure is to get her son a makeover before the date! little does she suspect the negativity.. the girl is rani..who goes for the dreamy antidote of going for a date with a beau! one who fancies her.. remember.. Payal lacks this antidote..the one she loved was blown away by the wind.. a young cop.. golu and rani. are good people, honest ,unaffected and simple..and in love!
Kanak / Uma scene in the end is relaxed..her expectations dash a bit when the car drops them in the middle of nowhere! Uma alleviates her fears of spending the night in this wilderness! Out of which arrives a colourful ethic bullock cart. Kanak s ego gets the better of her! she refuses his helping hand! nearly hauls herself inthe cart! When the animals sense her nerves they jump!she loses her balance! in time to be caught in his waiting arms!. Once both settle in their transport..kanak worries how she will get him drunk? He wonders whatever next my pleasing antidote.. you cure my sick at heart state.. with your mad turns.. hamlet53 28. 6.17
