13. The Healing game
The mornings are very sweet when we have a beautiful good night's sleep. It is one such lovely morning for Prasanna when he wakes up with a light music at the background and a dimmed ray of sunlight through the window.
He opens his eyes to a lovely scene. Satya is doing her yoga in her apartment balcony. He looks at her closed eyes, peaceful face glowing under the morning sunshine❤️. His inner happiness expressed in a beautiful smile, he observes his surrounding.
He stayed back the previous night as Satya insisted upon it. She was worried about his emotional state to send him back home for the night. Anyway they wouldn't have been able to sleep even if they did. 😉
She arranged a floor bed for him, in the living room. After seeing him comfortably settled down, she went to her bedroom adjacent to the living room. The peace that prevailed when they knew that they are at arms distance just a wall separating them, but their hearts are getting closer, put them to good sleep instantly.❤️
He gets up and goes to the only washroom, which is inside her bedroom. She had asked him to use it the previous night too. He comes out freshened up and finds her still in her session. He stands there watching her for a while and thinks of something.
Satya finishes her yoga session and opens her eyes to the smell of coffee😉. She looks inside and finds him sitting at the coffee table with two cups on it. She smiles and walks towards him.
"Good morning" saying it, she breathes in the steam of the coffee😊
"Very good morning. I didn't know what's your mornings are like. Took a chance on coffee, thinking it is a safe bet" He admits😉
"You win" Her beautiful smile makes him dance inside
Both sip their coffee with a scene of a calmness within.
Satya remembers how he looked like a cute kid while sleeping. When she woke up in the morning, with a sudden urge to check on him, she ran out of her bedroom. She found him sleeping blissfully. She felt like touching his soft hair and kissing his forehead but stopped herself from doing any such stupid action.🤪
After the coffee, Satya sees him off at the door.
"Thank you for the tasty dosa"😳
"You're most welcome.. And yes thank you for the lovely coffee. You made my day"😳
"You made my peace"😳
He quickly hugs her, kisses on her forehead and walks away. A few steps away, he turns back and looks at her. She can see his wet eyes speaking volumes about his emotions at that moment.😳
Satya closes the door with a sigh. She's missing him already and finds her house empty all of a sudden. It all looks like a dream to her. He dropping in, opening up, staying back..
"Wow.. so much happened" She's talking to the empty space😉
She pinches herself and squeals 😆. She sees the bed on the floor and runs to jump on it. She stretches her body on it mimicking his sleeping pose. She imagines him hugging het from behind, she cuddling to him, both sleeping. She giggles blushes and covers her face in shy.😳☺️
Prasanna reaches his room in the bachelors' mansion. He falls into his bed, his gaze fixed on the ceiling. He rewinds those moments with Satya in her apartment house. He likes playing and replaying her swift movements around the house, at the same time giving him the attention that he needed then.
"How easily she put me to peace just by mere presence around me."😳
The image of her sleeping beauty flashes in front of him. In the middle of the night when he wanted to use the washroom he was confused about entering inside without her knowing. But he didn't want to disturb her either. He slowly pushed open the door which she had left open. Her thoughtfulness and trust, filled his heart with some unknown feelings. He saw her sleeping like an angel and wished for the harmony to stay by her side, always. 😳
"I will do anything to keep you happy, forever" He says in his imagination holding her face in his hands and is shocked by his own confession. 😳
Later during the day, Satya is in the ground with few other students who are new to the sport. She hears someone calling Pranitha. Her eyes flashing back and forth, playing the words of his. "I killed a girl and her dreams.."
Malavika is the answer to Prasanna's emotional block that was formed inside him because of Pranitha. Where he thinks he failed Pranitha, he should help Malavika find her success.. Only then, that place can be filled with the same life like the rest of his soul. She's determined on what she has to do next.👍🏼
After two weeks
Satya meets Prasanna at his office space in his college.
"Hi! Surprise.. What brings you here?"🥱
Prasanna didn't intend to but his question annoys Satya but she is not the one to shy away from being straight forward
"Of course, You"😆
He knows that she shut his mouth purposely but he's not offended
"I know I asked for it"😆
"My team is here for a friendly match. It'll help both the teams for good practice"
"Sure. I'm sure Rakesh and the team are there"
"But I wrote to you asking for you to be there with the teams"
"Hmmm..." He had responded the same even to her earlier messages and after that signed the official circular too.
To avoid any more arguments he walks out with her😉
The teams are in their own form and both Prasanna-Satya know that Christ girls' team are no way in par with the Carmel girls to give them the practice session that they need. And Prasanna also knows the reason why Satya has brought her team to him. But he's still not ready for that. But she's hoping that he'll be.
They meet the girls at the court. They introduce their teams to each other. And Satya instantly understands why Prasanna is not very keen in that team.
Poornima has hijacked that group with her power of money. She is just using the sport as a way to be popular in the college and show-off her status. Little does she realize that her lack of skills are not helping in either way. But she's too adamant for anyone to let her know that.
Prasanna-Satya kick starts the match and sits aside watching the girls. Malavika is there in her natural form claiming the attention of everyone but she's too oblivious to it all. Because all her focus is on her game and game only. Though there's no pressure created around, Malavika's passion builds the demands within. Prasanna is watching her keenly.👏
"She's being very tough on herself" Satya opens up the conversation
"Hmmm"
"She's shrewd and doesn't let go till she gets what she wants"
"Hmmm.. I can see someone that I know, in her"
"And that someone must be you"😉
He turns to look at her in surprise. He thought she might relate Malavika to Pranitha
"I saw you smiling and enjoying her game. It must have reminded some good memories from your past not the bad ones"
He is proud of her smartness and appreciative of her understanding.
"Did you love her?" The words are out of her lips before she could take them back. And Satya regrets it immediately.
He gives a questioning look at her.
Taking the courage now she asks again "I mean did you fall in love with her?"😕
"I've only fallen for the ball" His reply makes her both happy and sad.😳
