14. The Fussy game
Just then the ball from the court shoot on him and he catches it perfectly. They both laugh together thanking the ball for making the scene light😉
"Looks like the love is mutual" She teases
"I'm lucky" He winks at her😉 and tosses the ball back to the girls
That wink.. That does something to her, making her blush and she shies away from being exposed. Prasanna notices the effect and feels happy that the feelings are mutual.😳
"Sattam, I'm not at all liking whatever you are doing" Malvi starts with her complaints when they are settled in the canteen after the match😈
"What am I doing?"😕
"I'm not at all interested in this match. Look at their team. Do you think we will get good practice playing against them?" Malvi rants😆
"I know. This is just an introduction, Malvi"🤔
"Are you kidding me? We did have an introduction with them.. Remember, Sattam? And I can't even understand how did you forget that hopeless team and the careless master of theirs?"🤪 Malvi starts her rants while everyone joins her
"Am I getting popular among the ladies?" Prasanna's voice rings through the canteen and the girls go quiet immediately
He joins them at their table. He shares a quick eye communication with Satya before settling down in one of the empty chairs😃
"Yeah, very popular in teaching how to sleep while your team is playing" Malvi proves to be the daring one with no worries about anything or anyone
"That.. I can teach you the tricks.. But you have to behave well, little girl"😉
"I'm not a little girl" She responds angrily😡
"I don't see an adult here" He is as calm as a gentleman😃
"That's because you must be sleeping"🤪
"I'm the blessed one, then"😉😎
Malavika opens her mouth to say something while Satya interrupts her
"Malavika, I need to talk to you for few minutes"😆
Malavika knows what it means and goes behind Satya quietly. The girls are murmuring among themselves seeing Satya in displeased mood.
"Sattam's ruler class started. Malvi is gone" They are actually scared🤣
Prasanna finds it amusing to see this side of Satya as he mostly remembers her friendly equation with her girls. And he's also surprised to see how the girls respect her for whatever she is. He feels a sense of pride inside him.
When Satya finishes her talk with Malavika, both are tired. Vinod comes in there.
"So, were you even planning to invite me to the party?"😎
Satya smiles widely at Vinod "We were very much missing you."😃
Satya and Vinod start talking leaving a fuming Malavika and ignored Prasanna.😆
"Your friend is really bored with the party. Take her somewhere" Prasanna says to Vinod pointing to Malavika
"I don't need anyone to take care of me" Malvi says only to get a raised brow from Satya. She shuts herself and goes with Vinod.😆
"What's wrong with Sattam? Why is she supporting that sleepyhead?"😡
"Who? Baava?" Vinod laughs loudly😆
"It's not a joke" Malvi's anger is increasing with Vinod's laughter
"Oh.. come on.. Why do you think he's a sleepyhead?"
"Because he sleeps when his team is playing their match"
"Who? Our girls' team?"
"Hmmm"
"That's our joker team"
Malavika is confused.
"Did you even see them playing? They are just there as beauty dolls except for Raji. But she can't do much too"
"Satttaamm.. I don't know what's wrong with her. Must be your Baava has brainwashed her into training your girls' team?"🤣
"No way.. Baava will never do that to even to his enemies.. This looks like something else" He winks at her. "Maybe they are playing cupids for us" He starts flirting with her😳
"I'm too angry. And I don't know what I will do"
"I love angry birds"
"Then go collect them all. Leave me alone"
"No way.. Baava has asked me to take care of you. "
"You and your Baava.. Go to hell"
She angrily walks off and he runs behind. Both continue their banter as they go off together.😉
Satya sends the girls back and comes to Prasanna
"So, what's your plan?" Prasanna asks her
"I've to talk to Malvi. But I need your YES to proceed"
"For What?" He's shocked
"About the training.. What else?"
"Ohhh that.. I asked what's your plan now"
"Coffee?"
They sit down in one of the canteen tables.
"I hear that you are a Rulebook"😆
She understands that he's referring to her nickname the girls have given her
"Do you think I can manage these girls otherwise?"
"Must be an interesting side of you" He winks at her again now very well knowing it's effect on her
"You may not want to see it again"
They both remember how angrily she yelled at him the other day in his office
"If tasty dosa in your hands is guaranteed then I think it's all worth it"😳
They both laugh together. And continue to talk for long time.
Prasanna walks with Satya to the parking lot. It's a little later than sunset where the darkness is still forming. They are standing near Satya's bullet bike. A dim light is glowing far away leaving only shadows of them brighter. She removes some dried leaf fallen on his shoulder. They look very casual like they've been doing this for years together now.
Satya asks "So shall I take it as a YES for Malvi?"
"Do I have a choice to say NO to a beautiful woman?" He gives his charming smile
"I want you to do this for yourself too"
"I think it's all the same now" He says looking deeply into her eyes
"Thank you" She says and walks away. He holds her hand and stops her. He slowly pulls her closer to him.
He touches her hair softly tracing his palm over it to her face.
"Thankkk youuu.. Sleep well, angel" He kisses on her forehead and steps back not wanting to scare her away. ❤️
She steps forward and hugs him, perfectly fitting into him. Even before he could realize what just happened, she has moved and is already on her bike, saying a "Sleep like a child, okay?" ❤️
He doesn't want to let her go. And the hug is still lingering around him. He touches the bike and says
"Nice bike"
She halts knowingly and heeds to his need.
"I gifted myself on my birthday"
He holds her hand "It must be very special"
She's fluttering inside but trying hard not to show it outside😳
"I need to leave now"
"Why?"
"Else I may not want to leave at all"
"Then don't go"
She smiles at his innocent request. Takes his hand and keeps it on chest
"Take good care" And she leaves giving a cute smile and wink
He sees his hand on his chest, rubs it gently "I must be crazy"
Looks up at the nightsky and smiles happily at the twinking stars.😳
