Tubelight Day 3 Box Office Collection Update: Salman Khan starrer has a better start on Sunday as the occupancy was higher from Friday and Saturday. This could turn out to be the best day for the film in terms of business. Here is Tubelight collection report for Sunday.

Morning Shows Report:

The film has opened to around 40-45% occupancy today which is better. Most of the morning shows in multiplexes of Delhi/NCR have good occupancy. However overall the big jump is still missing on Sunday considering that it was a holiday when the family audience comes in good numbers.

Now it will be interesting to see how much it will grow in the noon and evening shows. Tomorrow is a holiday in all over India so one would expect that Tubelight collection will get an extra boost in night shows. Though Muslim audience will still not come due to Eid celebrations in the night and that will only happen on Monday post morning.

Overall one thing is clear that Tubelight is unlikely to cross 200 crores at the box office. In fact, the trend is very much looking like Dilwale. Though it faced clash and Tubelight will enjoy solo release on the festival. So the lifetime could be in the same range or slightly higher.

Now Eid is the last hope for Tubelight which can boost the business till Thursday. Though looking at the mixed reports, it will be an uphill task. Also, it is not a typical Eid film which generally has action, dance and fun.

Noon Shows Report:

Tubelight continues to struggle on Sunday. There was a jump in the noon shows but not as per expectations. It has picked up in places like Bangalore where the film was affected by Telugu release DJ in first two days. Today's collection will probably show around 2-3 crores jump from yesterday.

Looking at the early trends, Tubelight 3rd day collection will cross 20 crores and can be the biggest day over the weekend. Still, it would not be sufficient enough.

You know the difference between two SRK fans who are critics (Anupama Chopra and Raja Sen)? Anupama is actually neutral and doesn't carry any agendas. Salman's biggest hits have all received positive reviews from her. On the other hand, Raja Sen hates Salman with a passion. The man is so erratic with his reviews. Even if you disagree with Anupama (or Masand), they are consistent film critics. Raja Sen is a joke.

And, Salman doesn't help himself with his stupid comments either. Tubelight was a movie catering to multiplex audiences and reviews matter when your movie is solely for multiplexes. If it were Salman's regular masala movies, reviews wouldn't have mattered because people know what to expect there. But with the whole facade of intelligent cinema (and I blame both Kabir and Salman), they dug themselves into the ground. Well, obviously, by making such a lethargic movie, they were already dead before.
