He was a damn good actor and he even gave hit movies but how did his career went down so badly? Did Salman Khan had any contribution for spoiling his career because of the press conference that he did against Salman Khan? Or did Ash ruined his career?

He's the one of the rarest versatile handsome "hero" type actor in BW.

He can play a vicious badass and a smooth romantic hero.. it's really unfortunate how his career went down.

He is playing a antagonist in Ajith's next movie Vivegam (kollywood) ...Not sure though

He couldn't handle success... he thought he was the star after couple of movies. Starting taking panga with the stars that were liked and respected by everyone else!!

Immaturity, blind in love, wrong idea of "heroism" , over estimated his success, underestimated Salman's power and didn't understand dynamics of BW.

If he was an outsider, I would still give him benefit of doubt. How did he not know basic rule of BW that everything stays inside and no one fights a media battle. It was true at that time, may have changed now.

He was arrogant fool and luck also didn't favour him. His bad luck that Sallu entered his best phase later and rest is history.

It is possible that if VO's movies worked and Sallu's career didn't revive, he would be seen as "Heroic lover boy who took panga with Sallu and won the war for his lady love" . In that narration, Sallu would have been biggest villian.

Nothing succeeds like success.

Vivek is a decent actor and used to look charming enough in his younger days.
He had girls swooning over him when he debuted.

He ideally should have had a longer success period.

But he killed his career with his own dumbness.
