Okay,
Firstly I was tentatively lil excited for the new male entry than the female one. No no, dont throw chamelis yet, the separation was happening and that too on Anika's terms. I wanted her to move ahead in life instead of wallowing in self pity and cursing fate. I know Shivika have to meet, and they will but why not show the female lead stronger and sharper. Yeah? So yes like I said I was waiting for this ankit's entry. Wanted him to be a grey character. Not white or black. Someone ruthless yet with a heart.
But how sorely disappointed I am today. The old clichd rich & grieving drunkard/devdas , sprouting sad shayaris (I am pretty sure the photo in his wallet is Anika lookalike or maybe Anika reminds him of his lost love) and to no one's guess he will be the new boss. *yawn*
The writers forgot that we already have one shayar, melancholic, metaphysical type character who currently is in coma? Why bring someone else who vaguely reminds us of him?
Though its a shame to compare the two characters or the actors even. Om is Om. Nothing and no one can compare and Kunal is absolutely brilliant in his portrayal of the intense character.
And sadly this actor sorely lacks in the acting department. The intensity, the dialogue delivery, the controlled fire in the eyes needed to portray such characters was missing. It was pathetic actually. His dialogue delivery.. Sounded more like he was reading it from a piece of paper. Without any emotion. Totally felt flat.
After seeing the epi, I feel he is far from the 'lead' he proclaimed to be, and shivika union isnt very far. Because this guy doesn't have it in him to shoulder the trp game. And trps is all that matters right, For the PH and the channel.
