He didnt call or text her. Amma texted a picture of Nivi riding in the back in the toddler seat, and sent a video of her naming colors of a traffic sign

II groaned, watching the video that fat innocent face dimpling in the exact spots R&B had his dimples

She laughed out loud, showed Mami, asked her when Nivi can start singing lessons
Mami wanted II to wait until Nivi turned 4
"Do you like singing now?" Mami roasted her
"Umm... I LOVE singing. I hate it when Amma throws me into all these public events"

II was long done with her lesson...
II got up hurriedly apologized and walked down

II went in and hugged a video game playing Shravu

Ranjan hollered thru the grill door
"Vandu asee tey aa chukey" he laughed

Appa got up respectfully
Amma smiled and greeted him

"Phir yeh khaana chhooyegi nahi" Akka exploded pointing to a gulab jamun gobbling II
II served herself a couple more and fed the lil ones
"Ayye vazhiyade ka" (dont do extra) Ii warned
Akka cracked herself up for a good 3 mins
"Iske haath ka lasagna bade maze se khaaya hai usne aaj, bhook tey lagni nahi" Ranjan joined in as II squirmed
"Did he actually say that?" Appa asked shocked
Akka's FIL woke from his nap and greeted Ranjan, Akka removed newspapers and toys from every sofa...
A text beeped on II's phone
