- All them who put Sushant star power ahead Varun & Ranveer - Raabta proves his star power is near non-existent and possibly below Arjun & Sid too. Thanks to Dhoni. His opening day collections won't change for year

- That reincarnation concept is still a common feature between the audiences. It's been decades since Karan Ajrun and filmmakers should avoid such concept unless they got their shit together.

- It's never a good idea to remake a 5 year old song for a new movie. Song is still fresh in people's mind. Why remake a trashy version of it

- ACTING - Jim Sarbh was overhyped as next greatest thing to enter Bollywood (another overhyped lad is Kaushal guy), Here he is being thrashed by critics. Maybe playing a terrorist was easier than some obsessed Darr like stalker/lover. And same applies to Sushant's acting skills.

None of them have star power... As much as people would like to believe otherwise, but no one outside the 3 Khans and Akshay have any individual pull...

The packaging decides the opening and whether or not the film clicks with the target audience decides the final tally.

Bingo! Packaging and also competition with other films along with holidays or releases happening by ensuring open weeks.

Avoiding Varun's films constantly opening 10cr plus despite having no big release dates or average/dull hype prior to to it's release. BKD is bigger hit than Akshay's film this year 😆. Gotta give VD some credit. Maybe not the biggest star out there but sure can guarantee good opening. His success ratio should also be considered

Except for Varun/RK, don't think anyone has any form of star power. When the hype+packaging works in favour, their movies work. Plus, the movie itself is absolutely terrible apparently, even SRK is seemingly unable to carry bad movies to hit status lately. WOM is soo important for the careers of these new stars.

Always notice Varun gets good release dates and open weeks. I am curious to see what he gets if he gets competition in forum of a good HW movie. Varun basically is given a free pass by the rest of BW when it comes to giving good release dates.

HG also got double digit opening despite a clash. So its all about packaging. Put some competition for Varun and his 'performance' will be down too.

Ramadaan-no one else releases so open weeks.

Only IPL 1 had some impact on film collections...otherwise its business as usual.

World cup releases have more impact. Especially it did on BAdlapur. And MTH was impacted too if you followed BOI articles then

HSKD came 2 weeks before Kick.

ABCD 2 came 2 weeks before Bajrangi

Both were ramadan release
