In a leap a story jumps from today to a day a year later or so. The character progression is then revealed!
In time lapse, the character progression or the situations the characters go through for 3 months would be shown fast forwarded.
If shivaay is become angry man/ devdas that transition will be shown in an episode with the timeline being 3months/20 min. Then the rest of the story in normal pace!
Maybe don't know what GUL is planning.
