No doubt, writers first put shagun in a track and then build other characters around her accordingly.

Aliya's choice of cloths were nice, its casual n thats how Adi shud dress everyday at office.

BTW Aliya too changed too much, her saris are too old fashioned. She shud dress like before, maybe not that short cloths but like Mihika for exemple. She's still so young, whats that drastic change in her dressing style.

And Toshi shudnt compare Aliya to Roshni, she's still his ex wife so obviouslly Aliya'll feel bad
