No one discusses this in Pakistan

IF has a lot of Pakistani film buffs as well. IF pretty much is the stop for most desi film and TV show buffs irrespective of location and nationality.

My theory is that on a general scale neither Indians nor Pakistanis care a lot, but the intersecting set of film and tv buffs does care a lot.

Yes IF has lot of Pakistanis. Bollywood has become Hollywood of desis. Indians Pakistanis Nepalis Bangladeshis watch bollywood movies. I think the reason is Hindi is similar to Urdu so Hindi+Urdu attracts a lot of people.

Pakistani industry did not flourish because Punjab dominates in terms of population and punjabi movies were major there..until more recently. So it remained a regional in my opinion. India also had rich tradition since partitions with stars like DK, DA, RK etc

Yes no one cares about these issues..excepts his fans and haters

In the end politics is much much bigger than cricket and movies. there needs to be other things done to solve those issues. this is why i dont like mixing politics with sports/movies.
