Alia Bhatt learns kathak

After Shashank Khaitan's Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Alia Bhatt has been on a brief break before two new projects, Ayan Mukerji's Dragon alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy with Ranveer Singh, kick off. Now, the 24-year-old actress, who has been utilising the break with brief holidays with friends, and by taking cooking and piano lessons, has added learning Kathak to her schedule.

"She has a professional tutor to train her in the dance form and has been practising for almost a month now at a dance rehearsal studio. It will continue for a while," informs a source.

Alia had earlier admitted that she is glad for the break as once back on the set, she will be "nervous and raw again"."Also, I find myself getting repetitive in small ways. Maybe I'm imagining or over-thinking but I plan to make good use of this time off," she had said, adding that prep has begun on Dragon's production team as the film will require a lot of work before it goes on the floors around mid-2017. "I will start my prep once Ranbir is done with the Sanjay Dutt biopic as it needs us to be together because, as Ayan says, the main aspect of the film is love, which is what I embody," she said.
