Let's spread some positivity, people 😆. List the most admirable qualities of each character on this show

a. Prachi: "Never seen an angel like thee"...lolz...extremely tolerant and amicable, Prachi is perhaps too-good-to-be-true. Of course, her goodness works against her sometimes since she'd rather bear the burden herself than communicate with others to resolve a crisis quickly, but its no doubt that everyone wants a sister, a wife, and a best friend like PRachi 😃With her patient attitude, down-to-earth demeanour, and rock-solid loyalty, a person like Prachi would become a family's favorite

b. Milind: His independence and ability to emerge triumphant above all odds makes him quite a role model. Hailing from a poor family, he single-handedly built an extremely successful empire. Additionally, he is perhaps an ideal brother who loves his sister and is willing to take care of her forever

c. Neev: Who wouldn't want a friend like him? Of course, sometimes his desire to help someone from the past hinders his present, but his infectious laughter and enthusiasm can become the life of any party!!!!!!

d. Ayesha: Ok, now why would this lady have any virtues? lolz...but, if we go back in time before her revenge saga began, Ayesha was actually a very interesting character. She was rooted in reality and believed in herself, thereby making her own decisions without giving in to society stereotypes, qualities every girl must have. Also, Ayesha took the best care of her mom, and helped Milind and PRachi through some sticky situations. Of course, her independence also made her quite stubborn, and she quickly morphed into a greedy and ambitious person who never gave a damn about others, instead becoming crazily obsessed with snatching her heart's desire - in this case, Milind

Prachi - Selflessness

Milind - Determination

Neev - Doesn't hold onto bitterness or grudges.

Ayesha - Of the 4 characters, I actually loved the old Ayesha the most as she is the most relatable. I find nothing relatable about Prachi & Milind. Prachi is too good, sweet and innocent to be true and Milind is just too extreme. It's a wonder, he hasn't self combusted by now. But Ayesha was a girl after my own heart. Can stand up for herself but still care for others. Fiesty, spunky and independent and she seemed to have a good deal of common sense. I simply hated how they butchered her character and made her nothing more than a wannabe home wrecker. 😡

Blackcurrant. I completely agree with you. I just posted the video of Prachi-Ayesha's first meeting and its just amazing to see how she was. I wish they'd retained that character, she was one of the first BT characters to actually have spunk and stand up for people. I hate how they butchered it just for the sake of having a vamp. Her character is so complex, even more so than Milinds. She should be given a better track, than this revenge thing. There is SO much scope for her character. Because the old ayesha had the ability to pick herself up and move on when she was betrayed, the old Ayesha had too much pride to think of hurting someone's home.

She actually reminds me of Hamlet in a way, someone who is way she is because of her circumstances. She's so insecure about her relationships because of Inder, that her insecurities feed off herself and ultimately makes her do things she would regret doing. Isn't that just brilliant? The whole complexity of it. I mean why would you want to reduce such a brilliant character with so much scope just to a one-dimensional role. Having the same "Mera Milind" dialogue.

I guess this is how BT soaps are. Once evil, always evil. Except if you're a guy (in that case he'll find a good girl who'll change his heart and fill it with fluff). This is the difference between Indian Tv and American Tv. Here everyone is conveniently placed into boxes of Good and Evil. There's rarely any scope for gray.

prachi:she has a nice heart but she's really dumb.
milind:i really like shabbir, but apart from him milind's character is not wat i wuld like my husband to have.he's way too agressive, and he wont mind beating anyone hes angry at.but +ve point include his determination and confidence and his luv for his sister.
neevvv:well,i think he has a beautifull character.sumwat real.he plays,he jokes,he likes to party,he respects relations,he is smart, let go of things and doent hold grudges, and most importantly knows how to treat people the way they deserve.he is not perfect and yet so realistically perfect.
ayesha:the old ayesha who had a wonderfull personality is gone and this ayesha is nothing more then an obsessed OTHER WOMEN.

Prachi: Well I think it's her selflessness and consistency , never really did do away with that trust in her husband now did she.

Milind: Ah the guy's one dream come true devilishly handsome, ruggedly brash that's how men should be according to me.Besides that his sensitivity, determination, unconditional love and yes that possessive streak makes him very human to me.

Ayesha: Less said the better I believe I like the fact that she never gives up certainly living King Bruce's dream "If at first you don't suceed try try again."

Neev: Compromising nature, good heart and friendly personality.

That is a good one Kits👏

Milind- I love him because he is Milind.. I love him the way he is, with his shortcomings... They make him human. Hats off to the way Milind's character has been sketched... They have taken the liberity to make him larger than life, but he has an amazing real feel. He is a dream which cant be more true to life...
One quality I love the most about him is the inherent nourishing quality... There is an amazing sense of security and warmth with him around...even when he is raging like a lion. He makes an amazing parent, which is what I love him the most for and with that exists a child in him, which makes him all the more enduring😃 Even when you are down and out and he claims to hate you, You just dont feel like giving up on him... because you know he will come around and he does... Always! There are lot many things i love him for... so i guess saying I love him for being himself... will be say it all😆

Prachi - The most striking quality about her is her simplicity... she is very simple as a human being... she is very clear in her thoughts and emotions. She does have a serene, calm impact around her(though she did make me lose it almost everyday in the last 2 months😕) Very forgiving... she comes across as someone who is content with life... it is only when it comes to Milind it is different and thankfully so. Me is happy when she gets selfish for herself when it comes to Milind.... though her selfless act to everything connected to Milind and her dad is a sure no no. And most importantly I love her in the Prachi Mishra mode😃

Neev - A great wellwisher to have around... I wish he wishes well for himself and gets his life back on track. I actually like his ability to relate to Ayesha, but left disappointed when he chooses to inore it on purpose or taunts it off...may be he has his reasons and they are justified... but I want Neesha's track and looks like Neev has to take that 1st step... waiting for her to come around might not be rewarding.

Ayesha - I love the fighter in her.... she never gives up (and I am not talking about her obsession for Milind) I admire her for taking care of her mother all her life. She did have a sense of fairness about her... if she thought someone was wrong she will give it back to them. I hope she is cured of her Milind obsession and gives life, Neev & herself a chance.

Nice topic 😊

Prachi: Since i am competing with KIT for the title of Prachi's #1 fan...its only fair that i start with her. Prachi's first impression on me was not great. I didn't like her docile, innocent ways. I found myself relating to Ayesha at our first meeting (more on her later). But Prachi grew on me slowly (just like she did on Milsi i guess😆). But the thing that first caught my attention on Prachi was her fair mindedness. She always acts calmly and gives people the benefit of the doubt until she has good evidence or reasonable doubt to accuse someone. That is a quality almost all the other characters in KYM and other soaps for that matter lack. Most people will show their trust only if they know the person involved personally. But Prachi believed in Sukriti's innocence against her brother and her entire family...even the father who meant the world to her. She believed Sukriti against Sukriti's own father. She acts in fairness too. She got Milind out of jail for Mr. Mishra's sake even tho he was bent on killing her brother. He concern for the people surrounding her and her selfless. She stood her ground even when the love of her life, her future husband refused to support her. She knew she was right in what she was doing and the lack of support, rather the opposition to her actions from the most important people in her life didn't deter her. She didn't feel she did anything wrong when Milind came to the party and insulted her for the good she did to him, she didn't say "i wish i hadn't married him" when she realized what Milind's purpose in marrying her was. She thinks before she makes her stand and doesn't regret them. She made the promise to protect Suki's raaz and her plan was not to hide it from Milind...it was to hide it from the world, especially Nihaarika and Alaap and she successfully did it. She only regretted not being able to tell Milind. I admire her will power that gives her the strength to stand her ground no matter what is falling down around her. I love the fact that even tho she was raised in riches she values them little and is content with what she gets. And boy am i glad that she is possessive of Milind but unlike Milind's possessiveness, she is not insecure about her rights and therefore she calmly claims it. I loved the way she was so cool after Ayesha's attempt at suicide. After the immediate shocked blabbering she went back to being content in her life with her husband instead of feeling that the incident was her fault.
Edited: at some point after i started to like Prachi's character, i grew this strong desire to protect her. My love for Milsi at first came from my appreciation of his actions to protect her from evil Ayesha. There is an inherent innocence in Prachi that no matter how angry i am with her will just make me want to make her world alright and when she suffers i just want to turn around and make hell for whoever is responsible for it. I appreciate Ekta for insisting that Panchi do this role.

Milind: 😳 Honestly he didn't make a good first impression either (😆just like his wifey). But since i loved Shabbo from Kavyanjali i didn't hate the guy. Milind came across as a very arrogant man who wanted to enforce his values on others. I totally hated that. But soon i realized that this guy is gonna be the hero of this show with the extra style marna and the dandiya day entry at Shah mansion etc. I knew then that i had to get used to this guy if i wanted to continue watching this show. Then came the ALaap and Sukriti track and gave me more than enough reason to love him. A brother like him is anybody's dream. But before i could fully fall in love he went away😭 only to come back in the most fantastic avtar that he could come back as. Like i said before i had no sympathy for his revenge track with Ayesha because i knew he'd fall for Prachi. But i loved him simply for the way he protected everyone around him (not just Prachi). Even tho he took out his anger on my poor lil angel but he protected the people that mattered to her. She married him to save her family from moving to the chawl. She would have happily moved there but her family wouldn't have (dadi, and her siblings). And Milind maintained the respect that Prachi's family had and didn't insult them because they were now dependent on him. I love the man Milind is. He is a no nonsense guy who loves clarity and simplicity in his life and relationships. I most of all love his one-track mind. When he went to make a name for himself he left his love, his family and reached for his goal like a mission. Once he fell for Prachi, Ayesha's revenge track was no where in sight. He is focused and determined. The only thing that scares me a bit is the physical abuse he often starts. But he is often pushed into that kind of behavior and his guilt and apology often make up for it. I love the fact that even after becoming so rich and proving him worth he remains rooted in his values. He remains the Milind from the chawl that is his identity and didn't change at all.

Neev: Neev is a character that fluctuated greatly in my sight. When i first met him i hated his flirtatious and "nothing can make me get serious about life" attitude. Although Neev was supposed to be the character that Prachi depended on it seemed the other way around to me. The way Neev depended on Prachi to give him a wake up call, and the way he considered her family to be his because he didn't that kind of warmth from his own...i did sympathize with him after knowing what his family life is like and didn't blame him for always trying to smile and put that smile on the face of others. His one liners were witty and he never could tolerate a tear in Prachi's eyes. Don't want to talk about the negative so the next time i started to love him was when he got mighty pissed at Milind and Prachi's accusation on him. Altho that fizzed out soon but now the way he is so forgiving and only wants the peace and happiness of everyone is very noble of him. But the one fact that i love most about Neev today is his ability to sympathize with Ayesha. No one (no one at all) in the show is able to feel a pinch of goodness for Ayesha and Neev is the only one who is moved by her plight. Maybe it is because he sees her in her most ungaurded moments in the bedroom but whatever the reason its amazing that he can feel that for a woman who ruined him. Since he is capable of this much if he could push himself to make a kind gesture to Ayesha....aaah...if only...

Ayesha: I will probably be the sole contender for Ayesha fan trophy...since i have competition for Prachi fan trophy.😆 But i ain't letting that go so easily KIT so don't think you can self proclaim yourself to be #1. So here goes. Like i said before i could relate most to Ayesha's character when she first came on the show. She is a girl who had to grow up too fast but unlike Milind she had no one to support her or protect her when she felt scared or confused. She dealt with life on her own for a very long time and at very tender age. That kind of life makes one very detached and stone hearted. But Ayesha still had a streak of goodness in her. That was the reason she immediately bonded with Prachi because somewhere their souls were speaking to each other. Ayesha too felt the need to protect Prachi and Prachi's innocent and unconditional love and friendship was something that soothed Ayesha's lonely heart. She did have Milind to share her sorrows with but she could never bring herself to trust Milind because of her mother's experience. Prachi on the other hand was a safer alternative. Unfortunately all those hopes were ruined by Inder's truth and yet Ayesha would have overcome that bitterness too if Prachi and Ayesha had been able to maintain their friendship. It was fate or Alaap that ruined it for both sisters from then on. Ayesha's anger toward Prachi is still justified because she doesn't know that Prachi was not involved in Amrita's insult. Prachi herself made Ayesha believe that she was only after money and thus marrying Sanjay and leaving Neev. So if Ayesha doesn't believe Prachi's goodness no matter what proof of it she sees, you can't blame her. Because she didn't trust Milind's love even though the guy loved her since childhood. It is going to take nothing short of Kayamath for Ayesha to finally believe in Prachi's goodness again and learn to trust her and regain their lost friendship.

Wow!JC, I'm looking at Prachi in a whole new light after reading your piece. As I haven't watched the show regularly from the beginning, I didn't identify with Prachi at all. But ur characterisation makes me want to change my mind!
